I have a very picky Cat and this is his favorite, when I try to give him something else he will not eat it.  I highly recommend it. He loves Friskies Pate Salmon and he also likes Friskies  shredded Salmon.

Cats wet food that picky Cats will eat!

Anyone who has had cats knows how finicky they can be. At this time... they will only eat Friskies pate. Not shredded. Not with gravy. Pate. I've tried all the other more expensive, "designer" brands to no avail. 
It's Friskies fur now. 😉

I am cat sitting until my nephew's new house is completed. This cat previously only had dry food. I introduced her to wet food because I had a coupon. She loves Friskies and one of her favorites is this salmon. She gets half can once a day and eats dry the rest of the day. I save her 'treat' wet food til dinner. Her coat is more shiny and not shedding as much as before.  She is much more content and calm.

Probably this is the Friskies pate' flavor that I've experienced the *least* quality problems with.    I haven't gotten more than one can of it that smelled or looked "off," or that my cats refused to eat.   I don't think I've ever gotten one that was either drowning in liquid,  or that appeared dried out and old or stale.

As with all the cat foods/treats, I have no personal opinion concerning this item. The only opinion I can cite is my cats' %26 they like this food. So, for what it's worth, my cats -- half of whom are rescues or formerly homeless cats, the other half are the offspring of formerly homeless cats -- eat this stuff when I set it out. The homeless cats I feed are also fans but they pretty much eat anything I set out.

Why is cat food catching up with people food in price? The old joke about people resorting to cat food is becoming obsolete. At some point, the powers that be must be thinking we'll give up on our pets...

That said, my tom loves Salmon, and almost all he's ever tasted is Purina Friskies... He hates whitefish and turkey and any extra gravy is left on the plate by him. My older queen also hates whitefish and turkey, but laps up any gravy she can find.

food is a luxury item, even for cats

What can I say? Good, basic cat food and our cat likes it - sometimes better than the pricier little-can stuff. As usual, cats are picky so-and-so's, your mileage may var LOL!

Good Basic Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its not Walmarts fault. Purina Friskies food has suffered significant quality issues due to cost cutting to stay competitive. Even the neighborhood feral cats leave a large portion of it behind. They have to be very hungry. My own cats wont touch it.

our cats have been eating Friskies Pate can food for years and loved it. Now there is some liquid in the can that makes it mushier, and they dont like that.  They dont even empty their plates half the time. Disappointed...

The salmon was dark, brown not good. My cats wouldn't eat it they would smell and just walk off. Didn't smell like salmon. I threw them away not gonna return them to the store because I don't want them selling them again to someone else. Thank you.
