Generally speaking, the seat is fine. Once it's on, it works as intended. However... the directions are AWFUL. I had to use two videos, a website, and a pdf to supplement the grainy, black and white photos with single sentence directions. The hardware is not labeled at all, so it's a complete guessing game what goes with what. Some of the hardware was missing (the bolts that connect the bars to the roof). One of the bars on the seat was bent at the end, so getting the bolt and nut on was a nightmare. The seat portion came in two pieces and there were no directions on the proper way to connect them. The seat portion does not lay flat when made into a storage bed because it rests on the nuts connecting the seat halves. 

Although the price was right on the seat and general mechanical skills can get you through the mire of getting this thing together, I would probably get a different seat next time and chalk the additional cost up to less frustration and time spent.

Works but the process is awful
