This product delivered a few days early. It was safely packaged for shipping. Our Granddaughter loves Star Lily. We downloaded the app with no problems and are trying to teach Star Lily special things.
In my opinion, this is one of the most beautiful gifts you could give a little girl!!

Star Lily

walmart.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as part of the Walmart Sparks reviewer team. I chose this as a present for my 4 yr old granddaughter who loves unicorns. I didn't really spend time reading about all the things it does, so I was happily surprised to see that this FUR REAL unicorn responds to touch and sounds. As well as being very colorful and cute ( major " love it" factors in children's toys),it has a horn that changes colors and wings that it can flutter. At first glance when it arrived I was shocked by how big it is...no tiny , put in your pocket toy here...this toy is big enough to hug, and play with in a way that tiny toys don't accommodate for. I was struck by how absolutely beautiful the unicorn is, how soft its fur is and how sweet the expression is in its eyes. I am sure my granddaughter will gets LOTS of enjoyable play time with this toy. I also believe that due to the simplicity of the toy she will not feel like it is too hard to make it do the things it says it can do( got her a 'robot dog ' a while back and she has yet to play with it, even though it could be taught tricks she soon grew tired of the difficulty in achieving those tricks...3 yr olds aren't into 'repeat, repeat, repeat' to achieve a desired outcome and let's face it their attention spans aren't infinite). I also think when her friends see this FUR REAL unicorn they will all be begging their moms/dads to get one for them...it's THAT beautiful. And even if they don't get the unicorn to do what they want right off, it has hair she can comb/brush, and braid, and a sweet treat( plastic strawberry) that it can feed to the unicorn, so play time/ bonding start right away ... it won't be just sitting on a shelf gathering dust like other toys have.

Positively magical.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] StarLily My Magical Unicorn is spectacular with over 100 different responses and sounds she's always doing something different it seems! From her light up, color changing horn, to her magical fluttering wings, and her beautiful blinking eyes she's such a dream! Her soft fur is great to cuddle and she lets you know she loves the attention! Her beautiful mane is prefect for braiding too. She munches away happily on her berry treat or she makes sounds of disgust when she doesn't want it, which is quite comical! It doesn't take long to see she has quite a personality! There is also a button on her back for “waking StarLily up.” StarLily loves your attention and rewards you with every sound, movement and response so you'll know she's just as happy to have you as you are to have her! She really is a dream come true! I never want to turn her off because I want to see what she'll say or do next! There is also supposed to be an app that works with her and I can't wait to see that!
It should be noted that StarLily requires 4 C batteries and should be turned off when she's not in use. Also, this is not a toy for rough play as the mechanical parts could be damaged. I thought she was supposed to be pose-able but I was not able to figure that out, however; I did find it was best if she stood on a hard flat surface so she could keep her balance.

Nothing short of Spectacular!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This FurReal Friends Magic Unicorn is simply adorable. She has such a sweet expression on her face, batting her eyes and fluttering her wings. Any little girl would be enchanted by StarLily the Magic Unicorn.
Unpacking StarLily was very easy. She is tied to the box in various areas so you can just snip the strings to release the toy. StarLily does require 4 size C batteries and they are not included. If you find your child plays with StarLily a lot, and let's face it, who wouldn't, you might want to invest in a set of rechargeable batteries and a charger. This toy is so cute I think it would be worth it. Install the batteries in her belly. You will need a screwdriver to open and reclose the battery compartment.
Once activated the unicorn reacts to touch and to sound. She eats her MagicBerry, included in the package, by making a crunching sound, batting her eyes and her horn lights up. Various touches bring different responses. The horn changes color, her wings flutter, she lifts and paws with her front hoof and she turns and dips her head. She makes a trilling noise that reminds me of a cat's purr.
All in all she is quite magical and any little girl would love this special friend!

Simply Adorable!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toy is amazing, beautiful and enchanting for a little girl or any child that loves unicorns. The packaging itself is easy to unwrap, open box and cut away the rope ties that hold her into the cardboard. The batteries (4 C batteries) do not come with so you can make a trip to the dollar store if you have one, we did and got 6 batteries for 2 dollars. The batteries go in fairly easy, be sure you have a Philips screwdriver available. There is an on and off switch right in the battery area. Turn her on and here comes the magic! Her horn lights up to show that she is activated, then it goes off again. You can wake her up by petting her back or giving her “sugarberry” treat (included). When she ‘woke' up it was like she came to life to my 3 year old daughter. She is quite beautiful, with glittery eyes, blue wings and hooves, and rainbow hair that you can braid. StarLily responds to your petting, touch, feeding, talking and music with wing movements, various lights in her horn, eyes blinking, different sounds, music and leg movements. The more you play with her the more she does. Our StarLily now gives a little sneeze. So adorable! This doll is about the size of my large cat, much bigger than I had imagined. StarLily will give your child much enjoyment and add to imagination play.

Amazing and enchanting!

I don't know what happened to this thing. She's very cute and is great when she works. This one is just a lemon unfortunately, she stopped functioning properly after a couple of days and now she stalls and IS unresponsive for 98% of the time.

I'm waiting on my replacement. Hopefully that one will work. It's a cute toy.

A few days old and broke

Our daughter wanted this for Christmas, and love it initially, but lost interest in it quickly. It is pretty, has great sounds, and is quite impressive, but for the price, I thought it would do more things. I would buy it again, but only if it was on sale. Not worth the full price.

Buy it on sale if yor able.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok to be fair this is a really cute unicorn but the value in what this furreal pet does is mediocre. My 9 and 4 year old girls were immediately enchanted by the unicorn. The couldn't wait to get the batteries in so they can see all that she could do. It requires 4 C battieries and it was pretty easy to install them and get started. I did read the manuel and you really dont need instructions since its pretty standard. One instruction did stand out and that was on the wings stating that they are very fragile. For a childs toy to be fragile in any way is kinda a bummer. Once the batteries were in the girls got really excited to see the horn change colors. The unicorn also stomps her hooves and makes sounds but thats really all it does. I was dissipointed that she didnt speak or for the cost I would think it can move more than just stomping of the hooves and wings. It also comes with a berry just a plastic piece that looks like a purple strawberry that you can feed it. You just put the berry in the mouth and the unicorn makes a smaking noise. one thing thqt I liked is the quality of the hair on the unicorn. Both my girls love brushing it and it has stayed nice and smooth. Usually I see hair on dolls get kind of kinky but this still looked brand new after alot of brushing. Overall my girl loved playing with this everyday for about a week then the battieries ran out. Now its just in a corner collecting dust. My kids haven't even asked to get new batteries. They just kinda forgot about it. Overally I would not recommend this because even though its really cute your money can stretch farther on something else.

your little girl will love this (for a minute)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this and the Pug dog for my Grand Daughter when she is over for a visit. The Unicorn is a fairly large and hefty toy with a furry cover over a hard plastic mechanism. The toy is animated such that the wings move, the eyes blink, the head nods, simulates eating the little included food heart, and lifts it's right front hoof. Additionally the horn lights up, changes color, plays short music and whinny sounds. It takes 4 C batteries accessible through a velcro opening and phillips screw plastic cover, with an on/off switch to the side of the panel. There is an additional switch in the middle of the Unicorn's back between the wings.
Although the unit appears to be well made and is visually attractive, it is not as animated or active as it could be, and it is somewhat heavy for a 2 year old. My Grand Daughter played with it for a bit, and carried it around the room, but soon tired of using it for any length. The sounds are subdued and although she would come back to the toy and rub the horn to see colors change, for the most part the interest just was not there. I think if there was speech included to ask children questions or tell them things it would generate more of a response to interact with the toy. I fear that this will be another toy that just sits in the toy box after the first use.

Unicorn

I purchased Starlily as a Christmas gift for my daughter. Needless to say the app does not work! It appears the manufacturer hasn't bothered attempting to fix the issues either. As a lady ditch attempt I downloaded the app to my iPhone. Of course it worked! I really don't want to give up my phone for my daughter to play with this thing but really what choice do I have? I really want to return it. What other recourse do I have? I wouldn't suggest wasting money on this one.

Overpriced stuffed animal!
