This is EXACTLY the same Futuro thumb stabilizer that was being provided by the orthopedic surgeon during my appointment when I was administered a Cortesone  injection for tendonitis in my thumb and wrist.  BEWARE - physicians may charge significantly more for in-office supplied support braces and they typically require patients to sign a financial responsibility form saying YOU agree to pay for the item if it is not fully covered by your insurance provider. I asked to see the item IN UNOPENED PACKAGING so I could have a few minutes to evaluate and check coverage with my insurance provider. Thankfully, the Walmart App provides the ability to scan barcodes on packages! I was pleased to find this EXACT ITEM by scanning the barcode right in the doctor's office, and I achieved substantial savings.  Walmart delivered the next day for free with Walmart Plus membership. This brace is so much better than all the rest, I can see why the orthopedic surgeon was using it and recommended the Futuro Deluxe Stabilizer for Thumb. Super easy to use for one-handed application, AND it's machine washable (on delicate with cold water). When washing, be sure to enclose the brace in a laundry bag (also available from Walmart) so it doesn't get tangled or snag on other items in the wash load. Overall, Futuro is a great thumb stabilizer brace, and tendonitus is healing beautifully after 3 weeks of full-time use of this brace. It's comfortable and the Velcro doesn't catch on my clothes. The perfect amount of compression and support for your thumb right through to your wrist. As pictured. you can still use your phone, and it protects you from catching your thumb on things and accidentally pulling on your sore tendons/ligaments. I am thankful that Walmart makes it so easy to find exactly what is needed with in-app barcode scanning, and they offer much more affordable pricing. Excellent product. reasonable price, so Walmart and Futuro are the best choice. Highly recommend!

Best thumb and wrist stabilizer for tendonitis!

I absolutely love this thumb stabilizer. I love the strings so I can adjust I have arthritis in both thumb joints but worse on my right. Now the left one is hurting so need 2, one for each hand. And I ordered the one with the strings, my favorite. I prefer the black over beige. I had the one with the strap that goes around the wrist. I absolutely love the string over the strap. Thank you for still having the string.

I've been wearing this type for years now - BEST support EVER!  I don't need the tuumb to stay completely mobile.  I still need to type.  It's the lower portion into the wrist that this provides support for me

I bought this for support with my arthritic thumb. However, when adjusting the, pulling the stabilizer towards my elbow because it slips frequently, the plastic splints are only inserted into their pockets. These need to be sewn in so they don't move. Every time I adjust, I have to push them back up into their pockets. Otherwise, they dig into my wrist/arm. Other than, that I love it.

Good fit but needs improvement

This is the best style for my particular thumb issues and I really should wear on both hands daily. Apparently it only comes in black. Sure, black shows less dirt, but I don't always want to wear black. It would be nice to have the option of a neutral color. The other style that you offer in tan is too restrictive and does not work for me. I've tried them all! I would buy several in this simple, easy to wear style in both black and tan, if available. Please consider my suggestion. I am sure I am not the only one with this wish - particularly of the female gender who dresses nicely for work. Thanks.

1. Product works relatively well.
2. Supports the thumb and provide some support to the wrist.
3. Can be machine washed but make sure it's on delicate with cool water

Cons:
1. Velcro does NOT last long as grip is lost gradually in the 3d month or so.
- Must cut thinly/shave off the fabric for Velcro can adhere properly, eventually the fabric will bunch up and won't be able to be cut thinned anymore
2. Sometimes the thumb feels like it's going numb so you'll have to almost constantly adjust the wrap to avoid cutting off circulation to the thumb.
3. Replacements will get costly due to Velcro losing grip over time
4. Wrist length should be slightly longer ~1 inch for better wrist support
5. Black only?? Need more colors!

Deluxe Thumb Stabilizer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the three versions of this product. Each time they seem to improve it a bit for the better and worst. I liked the first version I bought. The second version once they improved it was nice because it was washable and the supports came out. This third and even newer version has it's pros and cons. I loved the bungee closer until it broke off. The stabilizers are suppose to be removable, but don't remove them because they don not go back in the same and that makes it loose it's integrity. I love that it is black instead of that tan color now. When the bungee closer was working it was great. Closed a lot easier then the previous two versions.

FUTURO Brand

I HAVE PURCHASED SEVERAL OF THE BEIGE WRAPS THAT WORKED WELL FOR ME.  WHEN I ORDERED AGAIN, I RECEIVED THESE BLACK ONES.  I DON'T REALLY LIKE THEM.  THE ELASTIC CORDS COME OFF AND CATCH ON THINGS.  THE CORDS   COME OFF AND I HAVE TO RESTRING THEM(A REAL PAIN TO DO IT)
