Straps

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish they would make the neoprene flaps a little longer even just an inch would be great. I have large calfs and muscular thighs and the flaps barely touch however the straps work well to hold the brace together. When I play volleyball without my knees are sore and ache when I am not using the brace but with the brace most of the discomfort goes away and after I feel much better also.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am awaiting surgery to repair torn ACL, torn MCL, & torn Meniscus from a recent accident. My husband bought me this brace due to our local rehab center not having any knee braces in stock. I love this brace. I am still having to use crutches, but without this brace the pain from walking is much much worse. Mobility would be almost impossible for me at this point with my injury without the use of this brace. I am hopeful for good results from surgery, but I will still be using this brace for a while. My ortho surgeon said my husband bought a very good brace and he approved of me using it. Thank you so much for this great product.

I'm a registered nurse and I am quite pleased with this product. Before purchasing, please be sure you measure your leg circumference three inches above your kneecap. This brace fits leg circumference of 16"-22". The instructions are clear about sizing. This product offers four strap adjustments after the brace is on for fine tuning the fit.

Wonderful "Off-The-Shelf Knee" Support

Is a great product that helped my knee, tye brace however does run very tight and and hinges aren't perfectly aligned. I took of the sleeves for the hinges cause they were uncomfortable but other than that it is super supportive. I also added a patella strap over the top which helps very much.

Great but could be improved

I have an ACL tear in my right knee and I cannot stand the custom made DonJoy Downloader I am supposed to wear it is so clumsy and such a pain and bulky...My dad had one of these and I tried it on and it was a little tight but I cant tell you how much better my knee felt in this than in that DonJoy brace...I bought a brand new one tonight and although I can get it closed I wish you made them just a little bigger for those of us that have a little larger leg...I played sports my whole life but my legs have always been on the bigger side...Please consider making these a little bigger...

Sizing

The only size I saw on it was ADJ. It barely fit when all the straps were open and it was still too tight to wear comfortably over an extended time. 

After that, I noticed the sizing information on the box. 

I had to take it back. I came to this web site to see where I could buy a larger size. 

It would be perfect if I could make it larger. I really liked the support it provided, but it was just too small. 

BTW, I am 5' 8" tall, so a foot shorter than the other gentleman who complained about it being too small. My leg is not abnormally large so I am surprised to find out that this is apparently the only size they make.

I am thinking of buying another and getting some extensions made by a seamstress.

Needs more sizes.

BUT...

You forgot one thing. Not everyone with knee problems has the leg of a 16 year old. <g> Me, for example, I'm 6'8" tall. I didn't choose to be this way, it's just a fact of life. And, as a result of my stature, I have knee problems.

My question: is it possible to get an adapter kit, some kind of velcro patch on a neoprene backing, that larger individuals like myself could purchase to make it fit better?

As it is now, the top flaps are open and the straps are the only thing holding it on. They pinch and I have to release them every 20-30 minutes or my leg starts to fall asleep.

Don't get me wrong, I love the support the sides of my knee get.

It allows me to have MUCH better mobility as I don't have to use a cane.

I just need it to be a little bigger around at the top.

A message to the designers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried multiple braces but have found that this brace offers the best support. I need good stability since injuring my ACL many years ago before they did corrective surgery.My knee also has a significant amount of arthritis. I enjoy doing zumba which is very fast paced with frequent turns and moves. This brace is the only way that I can do that. The only reason that I took a star off is because I feel the brace could have a litte wider circumference. I find that especially wearing it over long yoga pants that the straps are popping open. I had to stop 3 times during tonights hour long class to refasten the straps. I am not a really big person either.

FUTURO Brand

I bought this a few days ago and had to take it back.  It was exactly what I wanted, with the hinged sides and adjustabile fit.  Unfortunately, as a female with larger thighs from dancing, add a few pounds overweight, and this almost too small.  How can a man with large, muscular legs wear this?  I was able to make it work, but then the Velcro kept rubbing against the back of my knee.  No matter how I tried to make it work, it was just too uncomfortable.  Very disappointing.

Bad Design

I bought this for my knee and it wasn't cheap. I didn't realize that it does not adjust for thicker thighs until I tried it on and was confused . I'm not obese but I do have thick thighs and I could not get this to close at all. It wasn't until I got home that I saw the size on the  side of the box but I still wouldn't know it wouldn't fit because I do not measure my thigh often. I'm going to have to go return it.
