[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the GE Cync wire-free smart motion sensor a few weeks ago. The sensor came with battery included with a magnetic screw to screw into a wall. I am in love with the sensor, when I received mine I also received a smart color changing bulb as well. I had to download an app to connect the sensor and light bulb to my phone. And then connected the app to google home. I ended up not screwing my sensor and put it on my dresser instead since it has a flat bottom. I love how convenient the sensor is and I don't have to get up to turn my light on or off. I recommend it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have this smart sensor synched with my CYNC Full Color 100w Smart A21 Bulb I have in my living room lamp. I placed it on a small shelf in my hallway so that when I get up at night to walk out in my living room and kitchen, the light will go on in there when I walk past the sensor. It was very easy to set up, both items are set up on the same app so I can control both items from there. It is very accurate and works every time. I also love that it is very small and doesn't take up very much room at all no matter where I choose to place it. It also comes with some hardware so you can easily attach it to a wall. I really love this having this set up for safety and for convenience. Definitely recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use the GE CYNC wire-free sensor in my entryway so that my light comes on when I walk in the door. I like that the sensor can be mounted or it can just be placed on a shelf or on the counter. The CYNC app is easy to use and set up the sensor. I like that I can still use my Google Home or Alexa app to further set up lights and plugs.  I would recommend this to someone that is looking for an easy to set up motion sensor that does not require any additional equipment.

Easy to Setup Sensor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The GE Smart Motion Sensor was easy to install. Setup with the Cync app was simple. Even fun. Detects motion as i expected. Works great. It's wire free so love that. 2 year battery life expectancy. Adjustable to my schedule through the app. Absolutely love it! Just walk into the room and the lights automatically come on. Also the base is magnetic, so you can adjust your angle of motion detection at any time, or if you need to wake up the device for set up it's easy to just grab off the base. I would recommend this product. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The motion sensor is amazing and can be grouped with a smart bulb.  I used the motion sensor with the smart bulb.  You will need to download the Cync app.  When using the app go to App Tutorials and group your devices.  I was able to group the smart bulb with the motion sensor.  I strongly suggest using all of the tutorials they are the most efficient way to get everything up and going.

Motion Sensor works perfectly

I have two on the mantle to turn on lamp at night coming from either direction in the house. Makes walking so much safer at night.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The motion sensor does need to be mounted on the wall to detect motion, however I'd prefer an adhesive one instead. Also although it works it does in fact take a few moments to register any motion. I do like the fact you're able to connect this with your phone which makes for easy managing.

Alright but could use some improvements

I can't think of a worst product... I got spoiled using yolink motion detectors so you can imagine my surprise when I got 3 of these sensors, only to find out they ONLY work with Cync products.  Seriously?

So I decided to try and use one to switch on the Cync no-neutral required toggle switches I have installed at the top and bottom of the basement stair case.  The idea is that when I open the door to the basement with stuff in my hands, that the basement lights will come on... And then when I come back up the stairs with hands free I'd just turn the light switch off at the toggle,  That works as long as you're not in the basement for longer than 30 minutes, because if the motion sensor turns the lights on, then the MAXIMUM time lights will stay on is 30 minutes... who came up with that idea?

Finally, I must be doing something wrong, because the sensor keeps going to sleep and is not recognized in the app.  I get a message to turn the sensor back on by pressing the button.  

Oh, and as others have pointed out, does not work with Alexa.  Google Home does not support motion sensors at this time, but Alexa does... unless it's a Cync sensor.  USELESS!

absolutely the worst "smart" devices I own

Garbage product. Does not work at all. App is garbage. No way to test the actual light after initial setup. APP functionality is garbage.
