This bulb doesn't seem to be as bright as it's incandescent counterpart.  It also does not have a progressive brightness selection. example (50/100/150 equivalent).  That is kind of irritating.  Seems to work ok otherwise.  Limited bulbs in this format made it my only real solution.

GE LED Daylight 3-Way Bulb - not perfect

Just spent $23 on this GE LED 3-way bulb. Only 2 of the 3 settings work. Amazon reviews show this as an ongoing problem for over 3 years. This is just the latest of many problems with expensive LEDs from several different manufacturers. I hope to source fluorescent 3-ways until LED manufacturers figure out how to fulfill their claims of long life.

Defective

People these bulbs are not defective. They go from low to high to medium. It takes some getting used to. Other than that I like them and the money they'll save.

3 way led

Only 2 out of 3 light settings work, just like what the previous review commented about this LED light bulb. In my opinion, it should have never passed the quality inspection.

Doesn't work, returning on the same day.

I've bought 2 of these... One from Walmart and one from Amazon. Both of them had to be returned because only 2 out of the 3 settings worked.

Same as the others...

Could not find this item any where with the exception of Walmart. It does the job as expected and I would re-order when necessary.

GE Daylightt 3-way Bulb

There's a bit of confusion on how these bulbs are supposed to work and how they actually do. It indeed goes low, high, medium, I tested this bulb with my Kill A Watt, first setting drew 3.8 watts, the second drew 19.8 and the third 11.3. That tells us both that these bulbs do not function as an incandescent 3 way bulb does by adding the wattage of the first 2 settings for the third as other reviewers stated.

With that out of the way, this has been an okay bulb for me. It's a little cooler than I prefer and it's color rendering isn't the greatest, but it works. I mostly use it at it's lowest setting, so I cannot comment on it's long term reliability if it's used more on the higher settings.

Also it should be noted it draws more power on the highest setting at 19.8 watts vs the advertised 16 watts.

It's okay, but there's better I'm sure.

Only 2 of 3 settings work just like other users mentioned. It goes from low(6watts) to medium(15watts) and then from medium to slightly less than medium (don't think of it as low-high-medium). Instead it should go to high which is 6+15=21 watts. Some people think that it goes low-high-medium but they are wrong because that is not how this circuit functions.

DEFECTIVE? YES!

I bought the LED bulb for around $23. In 2016, average usage. A week or two ago one of the bulbs made a distantive pop and there seems to be a melt or burn between the LEDs and the base. Mind you the other bulb bought a few weeks later is still working fine. I wish i could give a better rating. The broken one should be one star, the one still working may make up my mind if we stay with GE. I hope the warantee will be honored.

I've had this bulb in my reading lamp for over 2 years!  it's on 8 or more hours a day! I absolutely love it! I will buy it again if this one ever dies! great brightness with very low heat! worth every penny!
