I bought this for my kids to use with their MP3 player to listen to audiobooks.  Works perfect for this intended purpose.   Bluetooth seems to work fine but we don't use it much as it is just easier to plug the MP3 player into the G-Boom than go through the process of connecting Bluetooth.   

Pros: 
- Nice and Loud
-Rugged and Durable....kids can haul it around the house without worrying about it breaking
-Carrying handle great for kids
-Easy operating buttons that kids can operate with ease.

Cons:
Wish the audio port was in the front instead of instead of the back of the unit.
Also, the bass is really strong so if you are not into music where you want lots of bass then there is not way to adjust the bass, but for my intended use it sounds great with audiobooks.

I have tested and have been disappointed with the peak volume, bass, and price of quite a few wireless speakers. The Bose mini , Jabra, Monster Clarity, and Jawbone Jambox (small).The G-boom is not a small speaker, but is not the size, weight of the Dre Beats boombox ($400)and the Big Jawbone Jawbox ($300). I really can't justify spending that kind of money on a speaker. I consider the G-boom($99) a medium size,but still easily portable, the best I've heard for the price and sound quality. The bass and peak volume outstanding and never distorts. The G-Boom rugged design is top notch. The G-Boom features I like are the USB charging port for other devices, the carry handle, over all design and ease of set up . The price for the G-Boom is a great bargain compared to all the over priced tiny wireless speaker. the smaller speakers will fill a quiet room nicely with minimal bass. The G-Boom will fill your house and thump with bass. The only have two gripes I have are, (1) The battery life could be better, but it's understandable given the power and bass it puts out,(2) should come with a carrying strap for the recessed metal rods on both sides, I used a strap from a garment bag I had laying around. I checked the G-Boom web site, but didn't see any accessories for it.

I am not going to comment on the unit that I received from this order. I had previously owned a gboom and the one I received from walmart was poor in comparison to my first.. BUT I CONTACTED THE G BOOM PROJECT PEOPLE WITH MY DISSATISFACTION  OF THE UNIT AFTER SEVERAL EMAILS THEY REPLACED THE UNIT.

Seems to have intermittent problems receiving a clean bluetooth stream. Maybe it's a codec problem, it's not got aptx codec I think.  Otherwise big sound, 3 equalizer settings (1st is default) but you can't tell which setting you've chosen visually.  Battery life is fair not great, rated for 7 hours, your use may vary. Build is strong. Overall for the money (I got in on sale for about 70 dollars out the door) you should be pretty happy with it.

This is our second G-Boom and we really like the sound quality of our older one, we just purchased this one - It arrived without a the original box, no directions and wrapped in bubble wrap? strange way to receive an item

Not the best of the G-Boom family

You sent me an open box item! beatup box not wrapped in Plastic, old manual, no warranty. I will never order again from your site. Speaker is suppose to be wrapped in plastic,  looks used. Never again.

Half happy

Got for my daughter for Christmas came very quickly but was broken when she opened it on Christmas Day very disappointing the charger was cracked and the plug in was bent to where could not plug it in the back of the speaker was also cracked and the front speaker was bent at the bottom  going to return

This was supposed to be a brand new item. It was taped up with a manual and had the previous owner's cigarette lighter in the box
