Easy to operate with straightforward functionality.

Can be strong and efficient, but may be loud and prone to imbalance.

Offers multiple settings, but effectiveness and noise levels vary.

Offers various customization options for washing.

This washer, PTW600BSRWS,  is performing very well. I do wish, however, that the Casual and Basket Clean cycles could be on the washer panel rather than only being accessible in the SmartHQ app.  I would also have liked for the pre-wash cycle to be an option available on the machine itself rather than only in the app. I like that the SmartHQ app, together with the washer’s delay feature, gives me many more options for customizing the various available cycles.

Also, since this model has an impeller rather than an agitator, I have to be careful to redistribute the load or to add additional items if the load becomes unbalanced. (My machine had been carefully balanced ahead of the first use.) The tendency to become unbalanced with bulky items requires close monitoring during the spin portion of the Bulky cycle. Otherwise, the machine could shake and move out of position. 

I have not been able to get the Water Station cycle to work using the app.

I bought a brand new maytag 2 years ago very basic didn't want alot of computerized buttons to go bad lasted 2 years. I was so disappointed.  I'm a senior citizen on a fixed income . So I went and bought this washer with extended warranty so far I love it

Does a great job

I love everything about this washer! Cleaning is really superior. It replaces a fine front load washer, but I noticed that calligram on my polar shirts is gradually going away because this washer cleans it better. We do not have heavy soil and I appreciate how gentle this washer is on our clothes. It is a joy to use.

I love this washer

We love the large capacity of this wash machine. The washer doesn't rattle during the high speed spin out. With the washer on our network it's great to get notifications when the cycle is done. I like the stats you get from the app, telling you how much water you are using and the average cycles per period.  Great value!

GE Profile Washer.

Love the capacity of it, it's very large. Cleans the clothes, towels, and comforters very well.  For the price of it, I feel they cut corners and were made cheaply due to being made out of plastic.  Maybe it's to keep from rusting, I'm not sure. My biggest complaint is that the machine is very loud when washing.  I have several washing machines and this one is by far the loudest.  Overall it does what it is supposed to do and washes well.

I really like that this washer can handle such huge loads. It kind of freaks me out to watch it work, the clothes aren’t even covered with water. I got the no agitator model so it uses the clothes rubbing against each other to clean. What I don’t like about that is the clothes come out wrapped around each other and wrung into bundles. You really have to shake the clothes out before they go in the dryer or they will dry all wrinkled up. They look like you wrung them out by hand. Anyway, it seems to clean well. 
I need to read about all the features, it has some programs on it that could be helpful I think. Like what is “Smart Wash”?

Looks cool

Very disappointed with this washer. The washing spin cycle is so loud that even my 28-year-old son, who was visiting, noticed.

More importantly, it does not fully dissolve scent booster/freshener beads, even with extra rinse/spin settings. I regularly find residue stuck to the drum and left on clothes after the cycle finishes. That’s unacceptable and makes me question how well it’s actually cleaning.

For the price and branding, I expected much better performance.

Pros: Large capacity
Cons: Very noisy, leaves residue, inconsistent cleaning

Would not recommend.

TOO LOUD

We had to have 1st appliance taken back because it could not balance a load and drum beat around inside the washer at EVERY LOAD.
Replacement is somewhat better, but still can't trust it not to become unbalanced, so we can't leave the washer running without someone nearby to pause it and rebalance the clothes if drum starts banging around. Very disappointing. I know how to properly load a washer-1 out of 3 loads I still have to rebalance once it gets to spin cycle.

Disappointed-

I have had this now for 2 days. It is extremely loud on the wash cycle as well as spin cycle. While on spin cycle it becomes unbalanced and starts knocking around. I expect better from a long standing company like yours. I feel like I wasted hard earned money. 
Very disappointed.

LOUD & UNBALANCED

This is likely the worst product I've ever owned. Although I understand washers nowadays must comply with mandatory government guidelines, this machine is also overengineered. The washer itself is horrible. We've owned it for 7 days and have tried several cycles. Ok, it's noisy, and we were warned, that's not an issue. The issues are a Deep Fill button that doesn't always work in the wash cycles; almost every medium to large  load needs help to rebalance; clothes don't have enough water to agitate unless you hit DEEP CLEAN (which for some reason works for some cycles but not others); the water input for the BULKY rinse cycle water was completely absorbed by the clothes, and then the machine agitated the material and never added any more water.  The spin cycles use hardly any water, leaving residue on the clothes.  The rinse cycles are too short. The machine doesn't spray any water when rinse goes to spin (at least we don't see or hear any water).  The NORMAL spin cycle still had two more levels of speed to select, but the level chosen was so fast I don't see how spin could go any faster. And it spun for 16 minutes! I'm surprised the clothes weren't sucked into the basket holes.  The clothes smell like detergent and softener, likely because there isn't enough water in the rinse, and that's a problem in the engineering of the machine.  The spin times are too long and depending on speed, leave marks on the clothes.   Seriously, we didn't want a machine that requires a babysitter.  This one does. Don't buy it.  On another note, I see many great reviews from 'promotion'.  Not sure I understand why 'promotion' machines always get the highest ratings.  Add noise, all the complaints about cracking lids, broken detergent dispensers (a clearly poor and flimsy design for a Profile machine) and the severe balancing problems (which will cause the suspension rods to prematurely give out), I would say "Do Not Buy This Machine".  If the other GE Profiles operate like this one, I would also steer clear of those.  Anyway, 2 stars because at least it turns on when you plug it in.
