It's a replacement for an 8-year-old nearly identical model (why reinvent the wheel?).
It's working up to my expectations.

As expected

geappliances.com

Great dryer for the price point. Large loads no problem. Not the quietest dryer, but no complaints. We use the eco-dry, which takes a little longer, but the dryness sensor works fine to extend the cycle.

Dryer works great

I don't like the lock on the door or that I can't run the dryer for a bit then open it. I usually run the dryer, pull a few things out, start it back up and fold what I took out. Continue that process till done. Folding warm laundry beats cold laundry. I can't do it with this dryer

LOCK

So far it seems just fine. Way more options than I needed. Cleans the clothes well. The only issue is with towels, it keeps getting off balance and I have to pause the cycle and redistribute the weight inside the tub. And it causes the machine to move a fraction of an inch forward and impedes the opening of my carport door. So I have to push the machine back in so it clears.

Good except for when doing towels

It seems pretty good but I don't like that I have to tweak all the cycles. I don't dry much on hot, so I change that, so I usually use timed dry. I also don't like thst I can't extend the dry time without re-setting the whole cycle. I would also have liked an end of cycle buzzer. And one last thing. The door handle pulling from the side is awkward. It would be easier if it pulled out from the front.

It will works good but...

No delay timed dry, which is annoying. Lint “catcher” is absolute garbage. My yard looks like a snow globe every time I use the dryer.

Looks good, functions poorly

Capacity adequate for family of three.
I do not find it to be very efficient because I have found it necessary to run the dryer two to three times to achieve the goal of dry clothes. I choose the appropriate cycle based on recommendations but it just can't seem to get the job done in one cycle.
The lint collection area is also very awkward. All the lint dust not stay on the screen and difficult to get down to the area that the lint is falling. Disappointing purchase.

Disappointing

I strongly advise against buying this dryer. I purchased the GE PTD60GBSR0WS model expecting GE reliability, but it has been a huge disappointment.
The build quality feels very cheap and poor. To make matters worse, I barely even used it—only once a week—and it completely broke down after just two years of light use. On top of that, its drying performance was never great to begin with, often leaving clothes damp.
It is unacceptable for an appliance to fail so quickly under minimal use. Save your money and look for a different brand or model. Definitely do not recommend!

Very Disappointing Quality – Breaks Down Easily (M

I thought GE Profile pays atgention to details. Came with cosmetic damages, stripped, overtightened, misaligned, offset screws, bump marks - these are important in a brand new appliance in any appliance. good thing it works but this experience is vrey poor.

Cosmetic damages on a brand new appliance

The dryer is moving around the roomquite a bit. We have set up an appointment with the installer to see if something is wrong that is causing it to not stay in place.

Won't stay in one spot
