Water has a clean and neutral flavor profile.

Replacement filters are expensive and proprietary.

Knock off product! It's a xwf filter with a fake label. XWFE filter has a microchip in it for the fridge to recognize. This filter will fit, but give you an error on the fridge panel and not dispense water. Don't buy from this seller.

The two articles had no chips, when I contacted the company she told me to take the one I had on my old one and watch a YouTube video to change it. No thanks! I was able to return the two items to the store without any problems.

Water filter... without chip

This filter did not work in my GE Cafe fridge. An error message kept coming up and it would not allow water to flow through it. While it appeared to be a GE filter, on closer inspection there were differences from the label on the filter that came with the fridge. This was my first time replacing the filter and learned that GE uses RFID technology in the filter to communicate with the fridge and it will not allow a fake filter to operate. Upon returning the filter to Walmart I learned that this item was a Marketplace item and even the return was not done through their normal systems and took 3 days to show up on my credit card as a return

Not OEM

These are not actual XWFE filters. They arrived with no chips and would not work in the fridge. These fridges won’t dispense water if the chip isn’t present. The seller wouldn’t replace them so had to go directly to Walmart, who were great and I offered a full refund. Avoid this seller

Mislabeled or fake product.

FRAUDULENT Filter!! Be warned that this is not a genuine GE water filter! If I could give 0 stars I would. The real GE filters have an RFID tag so that the fridge can recognize the filter. This one is missing that tag so when I tried to install it, an error message would appear. Do not buy this filter and expect it to work. Walmart was great about returning it though.

NOT A GENUINE GE FILTER

Needed a filter for our new GE Profile fridge. This one was a bit cheaper than others online and shipped without tax, which I thought was odd. When I installed it I got an ERR msg on the fridge display and the water/ice feature wouldn’t work. It looks identical to the original one except for a part of the label where there is supposed to be a code to communicate with the fridge. Walmart was very good at taking it back (still waiting for the refund).

Did not work

This is NOT an original fridge filter. The original filters has an RFID chip that's required for the fridge to read without if giving you an error message. There ARE work around but that you should have to deal with it if all you need this for is to filter water..

Not original from manufacture

I tough I was getting a good deal, but those are counterfeit filters, XFWE filters are suppose to have a chip inside them, the one I got did not have them, box & instructions were convincing. Without the chip, the fridge does recongnize the filter and does not distribute water.
Thankfully, I was able to return product to my local Walmart for a full refund.

Counterfeit product, beware!

No RFID sensor, did not work as the fridge can’t read it and just gets an error, will not dispense ice or water. Should not allow this company to sell on your website with fake filter using a GE original equipment label XWFE OE all have sensor. This is like a generic version

Even though GE label it’s not OE

Filter did not work. Packaging box was a slightly different shade from the authentic part we usually order from a different seller. We received an error message when this filter was installed. Returned this filter to Walmart store and reordered a new one from a different seller and it worked perfectly.

This filter cannot be replaced with a knock-off.  The inside of the label contains a RDF or something like that which pairs with the refrigerator.
