Smell

This has become a favorite gel in my house. We are a BIPOC family. My 14 yr old and my 19 yr old use it for their curly thick hair. My daughter uses it to hold down her hair for dance practice and it stays in place. I have  thick curly hair and it holds mine down as well as my curls in place. And its smells great too. We continue to buy it because it works for our hair better than eco gel.

A favorite gel in my house

I used eco style olive oil gel for years on my 4B/4C hair and always had fantastic results, but a few months ago it stopped defining my coils.  I don't know if eco style changed their formula, but it no longer works.  Their olive oil formula was the only one that worked for me and I was disappointed when it became ineffective, no coils, no hold, no definition.

Here steps in Jamaican Mango and Lime! After months of purchasing other brands in search of a new gel (eco style crystal, eco style argan, ampro protein, ampro ice, cantu, got2b, elasta qp, jam, even mousse) I am now stuck with jars of products I can't use. But Jamaican Mango and Lime gel is amazing!  My coils are back, vibrant, and bouncy with incredible shine!  It smells good, too, if that matters to anyone.  The only bad thing is that (outside of beauty supply stores) it's not sold in liter-size tubs.  

If anyone is using other brands that no longer work on your hair, try Jamaican Mango and Lime!

A Wash and Go Must

I have straight to curly hair. it helps slicks it down cuz my hair is really short styled now. great for the price. smells really good 👍

This gel smells wonderful. I like the way it goes on my hair and it gives my hair nice shine. And the price was good.

My favorite Gel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Light leakage but nothing major, mainly due to the heat outside.

I was searching for another gel after using ECO styler gel for years. This gel gives the hold and shine I like without being flaky. Highly recommend.

Better than Eco Styler Gel

I absolutely LOVE the smell of this gel, however my 7 year old daughter doesn't like the smell at all. It holds pretty well but does leave some residue if you comb through the hair again with the gel in. I had to change rubber bands in my daughter's hair because the first ones broke right after finishing the hairstyle, so when I combed her hair back into the bands it left white residue. So initially the gel is good, smell is great, its not sticky and you get a lot for a good price.

It says on the product that it doesn't cause white flaking or is sticky but yet when I used it it flaked non stop and was hard to get outta mine and my kids hair we were itching non stop and some of our hair got pulled out legit ! It may smell good and all but it's the opposite of what I wanted

Don't believe the fine print!!! It's all a lie!!!!
