I have heard great things about the GHD Platinum Plus Hair Straightener so I decided to give it a try. Boy, was I impressed by how smooth and straight it got my wavy frizzy hair! And it seems to keep my hair straighter longer than my old straightener. It is easy to use it to curl your hair as well which I really love! It warms up extremely fast, in a matter of seconds! Highly recommend this straightener!

Exactly what I ordered. I had to finally buy a new one after my Chi that I got 24 yrs ago couldn't be repaired. This actually heats so quickly and I like that it makes a noise when it is ready. Also comes with silicone sleeves for the plates. Well worth the buy, works great on my hair.

Worth the investment! I have went through so many straighteners over the years trying to avoid spending money but wish I would've bought this year ago. My hair is very frizzy and curly but also fine so other straighteners damaged my hair and didn't keep it straight. My hair stays straight now even on humid/rainy days! Amazing.

I initially could not imagine paying this much for a flat iron. Now I wish I hadn't hesitated. It is compact, heats almost instantaneously and replicates the look after going to the hair salon. My next purchase will be the heat brush and curling wand. I am sold on GHD.

It does not heat up like my previous flat iron.  Actually,  I started using the old flat iron and it still works.  The reason I purchased the ghd was because Consumer Reports recommended it.  I have only had it for maybe 3 months and would love to return it!

Does Not Heat up like other models

Received a fake. No GHD branding (in fact no branding whatsoever) on either the box or product. 
Actually tried it but it wouldn't heat up and kept turning off.

Fake product

This is a counterfeit item. The date code on the product was invalid... and, big surprise, it also isn't unique either. The code on this styler perfectly matched that of the code found on another fake GHD straightener in a video about identifying fakes.

BUYER BEWARE: Fake/Counterfeit GHD Straightener

I thought it looked much different than my other one.  This product appears to be a fake.  During initial use coating came off and plates looked different than real ghd products.  I am returning immediately.  I dont even think it heated up properly either
