I've been trying out a few different grass seed types looking for something that will grow in the hot Florida temperatures and sandy soil. I've created a 3'x5' patch in the back yard to try out this Bahiagrass and I'm seeing results in 10 days. I'm also trying the Zoysia mulch and seed in a patch right next to the Bahia but have not seen any results after 10 days. I first cleared each patch of any kind of grass or weeds and put down a thin layer of top soil. I then sprinkled the seeds evenly over the patches and covered them with another thin layer of top soil. I water the patches daily keeping the soil moist most of the time. And presto the Bahia is sprouting in 10 days. Nothing so far on the zoysia patch but the directions say visible results in 30 days so maybe in a few weeks it will sprout. I also previously tried Bermudagrass. It sprouted but beware it's like the grass you see on golf course putting greens. Not really what I wanted for my yard. This review is submitted in late April to give you an idea of the best time to plant grass seed. So start seeding around the first of April before it gets too hot.

I have used this brand of grass seed in the past and have no complaints. it works great, especially at covering bald spots in your yard with grass. I highly recommend this brand of grass seed and I would buy it again in the future.  I received this incentives from Influenster.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for some quick growing grass seed and used this same seed from a different brand in years past. This brand seed took 4 weeks to sprout. It's growing well now, but it is not “quick growing” as expected.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think it has only been a week or so since I put these seeds down, so perhaps it is a little early. But not one blade of grass has sprouted yet. The weather has warmed up quite a bit and I watered my lawn extensively. I didn't check what proportion, by weight, is seeds versus filler for this particular bag. But, overall, my experience with various grass seeds has been very disappointing. Especially, those grass seed mixes, where there is practically no seed ; I found one with less than 2% seed by weight. Sadly, I didn't review that info before purchase. So, overall, I have learned to avoid seeds and go with plugs instead.

Likely a long-shot

Seems EVERY time I buy ANY product from this company  I get BIG promises, but they never deliver on.  This was the Last purchase from Pennington,  I will always pruchase from a competitor which have proven results.  Most of the product deliver was Blue/Greenish DUST like.

Worthless, doesn't grown anything.

On the bag it says 7-14 days to see growth or money back.  I emailed them and told them there was nothing growing.  Their response I need to wait a month.  It's been 2 months and you can see the seeds but still no growth.  I will never buy from Pennington since they don't stand by their word.
