Fry Cooking

Ease Of Use

I researched many models of air fry toaster ovens and this one beats all. I had to return a previous one of a different make because I couldn't turn the timer knob, it was too stiff and slippery, and had no interior light and was complicated to set for each use. This Galanz is a perfect size for under the cabinets, the digital readout is great, easy to read and set each time, the interior light can be turned on at any time...very useful! It has an air fry basket AND shelf so I can air fry 2 things at once. It comes with a printed manual! The toast presets are perfect.
I read some complaints about preheating...this is a big advantage! Set it when you start your prep and it is ready to go before you are and this ensures an accurate cooking time. My husband and I LOVE this oven! It offers far more than most and is cheaper than most.

Outstanding appliance

It cooks well, looks good, and the price is fair. I enjoy using it and the air fry makes fries and wedges nice and crispy from frozen. It's also easy to clean.

Very good value

I love this unit ,I have made delicious potato fries with deep fried taste, but very little oil, on the air fry setting. Great cake on convection.

Air Fry Success

I was told the estimated delivery date would be Jan. 4, 2021 when I placed the order. But it came to my door on Dec. 17, 2020, which was a surprise, a good surprise.

It is the right size for my counter, and the all stainless steel looking is very beautiful.

I'll list out my experiences on the few features I've tried so far.

By the way, the different features are essentially different combination of three elements: temperature, time and fan (on/off). The machine just pre-set the different combinations in different functions so that you can select a setting easily.

Toast:
There are 6 levels under toasting setting. Level 1 has made my toast brown enough. Level 2 and 3 all burned my bread. Therefore, level 1 is enough for toasting unless it comes from freezer or it is something thicker, such as bagel or muffin.

The default setting of each level cannot be changed further. So if you want a toasting time shorter than level 1, you have to stand by the oven and manually stop it before the timer runs off.

Air fry:
This feature is basically a higher setting of temperature with the fan on to circulate the air.

My fries came out as expected. They are not cooked 100% evenly with the ones located at the far inside being over cooked than the ones located towards the door. But overall the result is good.

Baking:
I tried some nuts. I watched the process by standing by the oven as nuts are burned easily. I manually stopped the oven when I find them getting brown. The ones located at the far inside get a bit over cooked.

Dehydrate:
It is basically a setting of low temperature and very long time. Nothing fancy.

Overall, this is a good product with great value as it is priced lower than other comparable brands that have similar features. It is a good buy for me.

Good product, great value!

Good air fryer oven. Although not as fast as drawer system air fryers, but it is really good. best part is, after a couple of use, there is no plastic smell like the drawer air fryers.
Preheat takes 5-6 minutes.
Air fryer max temperature is 400F
Convection mode max temperature is 450F.
I found out, both of these modes cook in the same manner, so often I choose convection mode to cook faster.
Overall, good impression

affordable good quality air fryer oven

So far so good. Have only used the conventional oven part so far but works great!
Really hope the air fryer works good as I already gave mine away knowing this has the option too.

Very happy with this purchase so far!

Each function works as described. However without flexibility. For example, there is no way to Bake with blowing air. Only Air Fry can drive the fan. Each function is pre-defined with a fixed range of temperature. That is a limitation when one need to adjust while cooking.

Functionally works but without flexibility

The preheat function is really annoying. I would rate it higher if you could cook food without the need of preheating. I prefer to turn the machine on once and walk away. Right now I have to wait for it to finish preheating for the timer to work. But it does cook food evenly and crispy it's just time consuming with the preheat

Good device annoying preheat setting

This will last only 2 years. It will suddenly stop working in the middle of a bake and will not turn on anymore. Email both WM and Galanz but they will tell you warranty is only 1 yr. So good luck! Mine is a garbage now.

Only last 2yr

The oven is sized well for a store bought frozen pizza, has a good set of racks and trays and has all the features one may want for cooking. It fails to integrate them into a package that is intuitive or easy to use. Firstly 4 of the oven settings can be replaced with 1 because it breaks up the range in temperatures to look extra fancy. Second the light has a noticeable high pitch bzzzzzzzzzz that I found intolerable. Thirdly the blinking menus make it seem like you're trying to cook fries at a rave in strobing light. There is no option to start timing right away so one needs always to wait for preheating. It also doesn't remember your settings and resets every time (scroll through 5 blinking lights to make your toast every morning? No thanks!) This oven is a headache.

Good basics. Poor design
