I've used this device for a long time. I like the large, easy to read screen, saving favorites, radio traffic updates, and no need for current internet connectivity to map my route.

Better than smart phone map apps

Very easy to use and I like it much better than the navigation that came with the used vehicle I bought.  What's also nice is that it can be plugged into any car and you're ready to go.

I purchased my Garmin a good time ago and would not give it up for anything. I continue to update my maps and do not leave home when going on a trip with out it. I love my  Garmin.

Great Purchase

My old Nuvi 5in got wacky, so I had to replace it. The menus and buttons on the DR52 were slightly different and a bit less intuitive. I am hoping I get used to it. The saved favorites on the DR52 seems to NOT have an option for a phone number. The mounting "ring" is absolutely AWKWARD. It takes several seconds of manipulation to get it aligned and clicked into place. The ring is behind the unit and you are basically doing it "blind". The other day I hit a bump in the road and the unit popped off its mount. The map display isn't as simple and straight forward as the old NUVI. The verbal instructions do NOT announce the street or exit to turn on to like the NUVI, it simply says make the next right or take the exit. NO verbal confirmation. I think the engineers decided, "let's see what was good and change it." The good points are that it is thin and light. Garmin ... you could have done better.

I have not used my Navigator on a trip yet, but it does seem to be working correctly.

Good basic gps.  Wish it came with a printed user manual.  (Guess that makes me old.)

Works fine

this Gps seem complicated to me. i have to have a complete address to find anything.  i was in my house and it couldn't find my address . gave me the neighbors 3 houses down. and i wish it had search along route and voice search. the suction cup only sticks to the window and doesn't stay.

not happy

At the moment not very happy with it. Product keeps shutting off while I'm driving and just the other day starts giving me directions that I know are not correct, taking me in circles

Not sure

Gave it one star only because zero was not an option. The voice commands often don't work. The choices that come up look absolutely nothing like what I said. The map program is poor even after updates. The routes chosen are often ridiculous. You couldn't give me another one.

Awful

I'm surprised that this Garmin is such a piece of junk, always had a high opinion of their brand. I ordered it to replace a xgody which did not function as another sad brand. 
This Garmin I suspect is refurbished and being sold by the company as new because it had my home in Miami Florida 2000 miles away. It would not let me change it. New Garmin's are blank when it comes to your home address. Also the map on this Garmin was from 2022. No it would not let me download a new map. So I received it today and now I have to return it tomorrow. Not a happy customer.

Walmart do better.
