Screen resolution is higher compared to older models.

Features a straightforward design for easy operation.

Includes several new capabilities in the product.

User guide lacks clarity, leading to difficulties in understanding device setup.

I like the fact that I don't seem to lose satellite coverage with this GPS system. I also like that my phone can connect to this system. That makes operation that much more up to date, and easier to use.

Great satellite GPS

walmart.com

I use this daily for work in patrol as a cop. The screen is bright easily readable and has no lag time. It's also awesome that it uses usb to plug in and not the standard Garmin ac charger. Screen is the perfect size too. Only down side is I don't know how to turn off the notifications from my phone as I don't want that to inadvertently be captured on body worn video

Best gps I've used

ExpertVoice.com

I use this in the family minivan - a 2017 Toyota Sienna. The Sienna has a built-in navigation system, but it is difficult to use and the maps are very outdated. The Garmin is SO easy to use. It pairs with my smartphone to get traffic and weather, and can even control the music that is streaming from my phone to the van's BT stereo.

I do not like using my phone for navigation. The screen on my phone is too small. It is so much more convenient to have a dedicated GPS navigator in the van that is ready to go whenever we need directions.

Map updates can be done over WiFi, but to be honest, it is still a bit of a pain. The updates take a long time to download and install.

The navigation and routing are rock solid. I often compare Garmin's routes with Google maps. Both are good and often the same. When they do select different routes, sometimes the Garmin route is better, and sometimes the Google route is better.

Better Than Built-In Navigation

Very clear and informative screen, many options
Somewhat difficult to set up.

Great

Garmin GPS

So much better than my iPhone when I head up to PA. Super fast rerouting
I love it so far

I really like the GARMIN brand. I went through three of them. This one was just too small after I've had the 7 inch one. So I sent it back. I purchased the Garmin with the camera unfortunately, I'll have to send it back. It has no bracket to mount it on the dash

Newer is better

Not sure what happened to the car adapter, it had a lot of melted plastic on it. I do not know if it's supposed to come with instructions, but I'm sure there was some kind of go here to register your Garmin and sign up for an account. That would've been helpful.

works but missing instructions

This model is NOT the DriveSmart 66 -- the website is completely misleading. It is actually a 66se, which lacks several of the features of the model 66. We thought we were just getting a lower price ($200 rather than $250) but it is a "special edition" made specifically for Walmart, with reduced functions despite being listed as part of the system on the website. We discovered that during conversations with Garmin and returned the unit.

NOT what you think you're getting.

Just bought this useless piece of crap today. It is sold without all the parts you need to operate it. You need an USB thing that will plug into the wall outlet and another cord to plug into it and your car radio if you want to hear it talk. No real useful instructions on how to set your destination or even save your searches. I have a Garmin from 2009 which was awesome until recently when it would no longer charge, such a shame this product/brand has gone down hill in quality since then. Not for non techys.
