I am a competitive high school runner, and I use this for my runs everyday. It connects to speakers and headphones extremely easily, and once getting spotify set up its easier to use then ur phone. I LOVE THIS WATCH!!!! and its very cute serious im not joking its amazing and its accurate, and it says ur vo2 max and stuff and its lightweight and beautiful. it also says ur notifications and texts and stuff and it only took like an hour to cOMPLETely set up. if you are looking for a good watch for running, biking, swimming, or anything athletic, get this!!!!

Garmin

I am a lifetime Garmin fan.  This forerunner )with phone-free LTE) is exactly the upgrade I had been dreaming about for years.  But this is my second device that just keeps crashing on initial setup.  Garmin has stopped making this watch, but I wish, instead that they had spent the time to get it right.

Buggy software

I've been running with the 945 for over five years. It has gotten me through the Chicago Marathon, my BQ marathon, along with a handful of other races. This watch is durable, long lasting battery and handles the temps of New England very well. Those cold winter runs to hot summer runs

I have this watch for the LTE features in addition to the triathlon settings and I love it.

Love it!

When beginning my rehab from a nasty injury my partner got me a Garmin watch for my birthday and I have not taken this thing off. It tracks everything from my sleep and steps through to detailed analysis of a huge range of sporting activities and the impact they're having on my health as I return to sport. This is one of their top spec models so may not be suitable for a budget conscious consumer or overkill for someone that's just looking for a step tracker but if you're serious about fitness this watch rocks!

Cecil with Garmin

I had two as replacement for a faulty 945 that had charging issues.  I don't use the LTE features because I always have my phone with me.  But both 945 LTEs have routinely “auto calibrated” altitude to things like -267 ft elevation even though I live at +51 feet.  

Garmin reluctantly replaced the first one, saying that it really wasn't that far off and “nobody else has reported this issue”.  The replacement had the exact same issue.

Other than that it's a great watch - love that it's getting ost of the software features from the 955 eventually.

Great watch - if you don't care about the altitude

This watch has everything I could imagine wanting a watch for running and many other sports/ activities. As a distance athlete, I love the ability to add routes, work-outs, etc. Garmin training plans load right in and are suggested each morning when I head out the door. This a pretty expensive watch, so may not be my 1st choice for a beginner, but if you want to make the most of your running experience, it's difficulty to beat this bad boy.
