[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Next level smartwatch from Garmin

walmart.com

I was a Suunto watch guys for years, my wife bought me a Garmin for Christmas one year and I have never looked back. This watch is light, comfortable and has all of the functionality I need and then some.

Another Garmin Great

ExpertVoice.com

The 945 is still such a good model even with all the other newer models out. I enjoy the use of tactile buttons and the menu navigation of Garmin is very intuitive. I wanted a solar option but that's on the 955, and yet the battery is still very reliable with multiple workouts in one week. Can't go wrong with the 945.

The last forerunner without a touchscreen

It is a great watch series for multi sport athletes and runners. There are so many features I couldn't possibly use them all. It took me a few weeks to understand all of the different modes. The swim mode in particular could be updated to make creating workouts easier. The battery life is amazing. I only charge it every other week with 3 tracked workouts every week at least.

Great battery

well ive been wanting a watch that has a screw holding on the band of the watch and garmin was that and more my only dislike for the specific watch was the fact that spotify requires a subscription to control the music from the watch as apposed to free with adds which is what i personally use because why buy into something if you can use it relatively free.anyway the watch is a few versions older than the current stuff out there but in my case the nearly half off price was hard to beat.it gives me everything else i need in a watch and the battery life is fantastic ,i can wear it all day at work and its only getting to 83% charge left by the time i get home from work compared to the samsung watches it day and night better with its battery life ,if you want a touch screen this isnt your watch its fully button operated but its fairly easy to understand.

garmin watch

This thing is AWESOME! The battery lasts for a whole week! Plus, the cool badges really are the COOLEST thing!

I have always been an Apple Watch guy, but decided to give Garmin a try. Was looking for something with better battery life and better sport activity tracking. The Garmin Forerunner 945 delivered spectacularly on both accounts. Overall the watch is exceptional, with lots of great features, and also very comfortable to wear.

Surprised at how much I like it!

Garmin

As a multisport athlete, this watch covers all of my bases. I use my Garmin as a climber, a hiker and backpacker, a runner, and a triathlete. I have a good understanding for my performance after each and every activity. The only thing that I think this watch doesn't cover perfectly is weight lifting performance.

Can't take it off

The watch has been a useful tool on my long training runs, trail runs, and hikes. The map and GPS are key when tackling a remote mountain, and the training data has provided helpful insight in analyzing my running performance in the city. However, there are limitations. Garmin pay is not widely accepted, and none of my credit cards will yet work with this application. I am also disappointed with the toughness of the watch face. I took one spill trail running and, although I escaped with minor scrapes and bruises, my watch face and bezel were rather badly scraped. I expected more from a watch advertised as a multi-sport, high-performance athletic watch.

Solid, but not perfect.

This watch has nice looking. However, probably due to the fact that this model was released many years ago, it lacks some important features such as continuous HRV monitoring. My initial thought that this model has been released many years ago thus the results should be very reliable due to continuous improvement. The reality is opposite. It gave me apparently wrong pace reading- a very fast one in an easy run with a slow run friend, even faster than my PB pace. Luckily I was able to return it. Glad for buying it on a good platform.

Nice look but lack important features

Great watch feature wise. Like the weight compared to my previous Fenix 5, but screen glass is not comparable to the sapphire glass on the Fenix. Wore the Fenix 5 all day everyday for years and through it all it never scratched. Disappointed that the glass was not better with the F945.
