I don't have a smart phone so I couldn't use a Fitbit or some of the others out there.  Garmin vivofit3 syncs with my computer and has everything I want and need.  I am not a genius when it comes to these things but the Garmin vivofit3 was easy to set up and works great.  I love that it comes with two bands.  One warning, if you have a large hand you may want to go to the size large to slide over your hand.  I ordered the small/medium because I have a small wrist and it's a tight fit to get over my hand.  Once on it's very comfortable.

I highly recommend this device.   Oh you will have to order the antz to set up the sync and register your vivofit.
