This generator is absolutely the best bang for your buck! Is it the quietest generator on the market? No. But it is still super quiet compared to a lot of generators that I've had in the past. I love firman products and would recommend them to anyone out there!

Very happy with the generator thus far. Remote start is a game changer! Quiet for a 3,650. Do yourself a favor and burn out that fuel while sitting in between use, your carb will thank you later. Great customer service, and friendly staff. Local store is a huge plus! Def a Firman fan.

Great Genny!

I purchased a Firman 3650ir as an emergency backup in case home power goes out after an ice storm, wind storm etc. At first, I was dead set on getting an inverter from the H brand, but those prices are just nuts. Then I came across Firman during my research phase, and then realized they were sold at most Canadian big box stores. This unit gives me 3300 running watts to power my fridge, gas furnace, gas hot water heater, and toaster oven without breaking a sweat. I've already put it through the 5 hour break-in period and changed the oil - a really easy task with the rubber grommet in the floor pan to let the oil drain through. Really a super design. What's not super is the plastic oil filler cap and drain plug. Seriously, what would it have cost to make these pieces metal?? But it's a small gripe. As for volume levels, the 3650ir is surprisingly quiet. Even quieter than my gas lawn mower. That was a huge plus. I also purchased an RV to 120V extension plug. It allows me to run just one cord into the house, and it has (3) 120V plugs, each with their own breaker!!! That's genius!! Plus, I get clean 60hz power for all my electronics. I'm truly thrilled with this product. Trust me, I'd hammer on about everything wrong with it if there was more to say, but it's truly great value for the money. $900 CDN vs $2500+ for the H brand. I don't understand why Firman isn't singing the praises of their products from the rooftops. Really why would you spend more? Message to the Firman marketing team... get your act together. Start promoting this product better. My only long term reservation is customer service. There are some disappointing stories online about reaching the call centre, getting help in a timely manner etc. I hope that if these guys want to be number one in the industry, they'll clean that up and quick. We'll see. All said, this is a must-buy purchase folks. No reservations here.

Use the generator for camping and emergencies. Quiet, price was right, Correct power needed, easy to transport, easy start and the dealer I worked with was very helpful.

I will be using this as a back up power supply for our rv. It meets the power needs with some to spare. It was very easy to set up and start the first time I would reccomend this unit to anyone needing an alternative or backup power supply

It's louder than I thought it would be. Multiple ways to start it though. Didn't come with my remote for remote start. Customer service was excellent and I had a new one within a couple days no questions and harassment. They also answered first call. It should come with a cover. I would also like to see a pouch of some sort to carry extra oil and the tools it comes with. I am very happy with it though

I do love it

Just came back from our first weekend camping with this generator and we were glad we had it. It was hot everyday (37 C) and it was nice to be able to run the AC in the trailer. Our previous generator had a similar watt rateing but it would barely run the AC you had to keep it on the lowest setting. This one handled it no problem although it does get noticably louder when it powers the AC otherwise it's waaay quieter than our old one. It was also really easy to start, maybe too easy because anytime I ventured very far I came back to find the kids had turned it back on and were huddled inside enjoing some cool air.

i have a 30' travel travel trailer,runs my microwave and airconditioning st same time a little bit noisy than yamaha and honda.but for the price awesome

I bought 2 generators from Firman and one of them came out of the box with a broken choke switch.  After the break in period I went camping with them.  At first they worked well and seemed good minus the broken choke switch.  That was minor. On day two the other generator seized up me and I had to disassemble it to try and get it to work.  I was able to get it back up and running by manually cranking the fly wheel enough to start.  After camping I spoke with Dan who said my choke switch would be in the mail that day, still haven't received it, and it's been 2 weeks.  He also stated he was going to reach out to me and find a local place to take my generator and have it looked at.  Still haven't heard from him. I've sent multiple emails.  I will be returning these to where I bought them.  The issues I had make it hard to recommend.  The lack of customer service would really make me tell a potential buyer to go somewhere else.  It's unfortunate after spending over 2k for generators.
