I started school in August 2022 and I needed a computer with all the necessary capabilities that the school instructed us to have and I found this laptop to have all of that and it came right on time and helps me to keep my assignments turned in on time and the color is simply amazing, I give this computer two👍🏾👍🏾!!!

This was quite a bargain. You get a 4 core CPU, 8 threads at 2.3Ghz base speed, with 4.5Gigs video card for less than 300 USD. Can't really beat that. 
Some have reported that their charger or battery was a dud. Not my case. Mine works perfectly. It is as fast and solid as you would expect from its specs to be. 
Perfect computer for regular office work, for media playing, light gaming, browsing, programming even and so on. Might run more advanced software like Adobe suite, arch, video and audio editing software but it's a stretch. For it's price can't go any better.
Now, with such a price it has some negative points to it, they might make you choose more expensive options:
1. You can't expand the ram memory, you are stuck with 8 gbs, they come embedded in the motherboard.
2. The plastic encasing feels feeble. I'd try not to drop it ( i don't think it would sustain the heavy treatment kids might give it).
3. Ports are scarce, you only get 1 full-on power usb, other USB port, no Ethernet which could have been nice, 1 micro sd, 1 USB type c, HDMI and headphones.
4. The speakers are bad, like real bad. you are way better connecting it to something external or use your headphones.
5. The power button is just the right upper corner button on the keyboard which is annoying. I've pressed it by mistake a couple of times.

That's it, but i mean, did I say i payed less than 300 bucks? For the price you get a low end physical feel but more of a medium performance laptop. To me it was a no-brainer purchase. Even my wife was ok with it

A medium performance laptop, with a low price tag?

The price was amazing for the specs of this computer.  I purchased a similar Gateway from Walmart last year and this was very similar but over $100 cheaper.  It only has 8GB of memory but that can be added. It also had a 512GB SSD NVMe drive, but it also has an external slot on the back side where another NVMe drive can be easily added with only two screws.  If you're looking for a new computer laptop next year, keep scanning the Walmart website frequently to spot that good value Gateway.

Great value for a laptop

Simply cannot beat for the price. It does not have USB charging, it's not the lightest, does not have lighted keyboard, plastic case... but it has well more than just the basics and is not flimsy (no sign the screen will detach)... I'm so pleased I also ordered an i5 model

Gateway at Walmart - best price, fast shipping!

This laptop is remarkably good for the price.  I especially love the fingerprint scanner and built-in micro-SD card reader which are rarely available on even premium machines by well-known manufacturers.  The battery life is great--albeit not quite the 10 hours as advertised; I also noticed that the included charger charged the device much more quickly than I expected.  I should also mention that I have found the particular shade of blue used on this laptop is quite unique, so you won't have to worry about someone else picking yours up by accident.  One issue I have is the keyboard keys not being quite as sturdy and a bit too responsive to even small, inadvertent taps.  The only other thing I wish were improved was that the unit was apparently preinstalled with the wrong version of AMD's Adrenaline software; however, I just went to the website and installed the correct version.  I would like to end on another positive:  the computer was not preloaded with tons of bloat software that I had to delete.

Great buy with surprisingly good features!

I ordered this and right out of the box the battery would not hold a charge. Contacted Gateway twice and I opted to return.  I got the blue one initially. Cust serv said that was the 2nd one they got back that day.  Might just be a bad batch of batteries. But return it within 15 days and you can get a refund. Reordered the charcoal gray one this time.

Loved the laptop but not the battery

Right out of the box, I could not get this laptop to even turn on (I plugged in and waited an hour to get some juice in it, and then kept it plugged in while I attempted to power it on.  I let it charge for 12 more hours and tried again.  Still nothing.  Sat on hold with support for way too long.  Returning immediately.

Power Issue

barely 2 weeks old and the laptop will not charge, which makes it useless.  either a bad charger or the charging port is bad.  this laptop had good specs for a good price, was really hoping this was going to work out.  maybe this was fluke, i might try another and update my review, as for now 1 star
