Product Quality

The texture and taste of Gay Lea butter is different than other popular brands. Their cows are happy! This butter doesn't have the oily taste and texture that comes from palm oil in the feed. I first discovered Gay Lea butter about a year ago, and haven't bought any other butter since. It's delicious!

Delicious and 100% Canadian

I'm not sure who Gay Lea is, but she sure knows how to choose the right milk to make her butter! This is a really good product. It does all the things we've come to love about butter. It melts when exposed to heat, it keeps its shape when exposed to cold (for all you butter sculptors out there) and it spreads like a hot dang when it's warm.

Canadian milk never tasted so good!

Although this has become an expensive Canadian product, it is worth every penny to still have butter from quality Canadian cows. Lol

GayLee salted butter

I am not sure why, but this butter is better for baking. It will soften nicely when left out for a while , I find other butters always need help softening, then you have a sloppy mess. This is the only butter I use now, love it. I recommend this to other bakers in the family and the also love it.

Great Product

[Employee of walmartcanada] Only 2 ingredients the way butter was meant to be! This is the only butter I will buy. Price is high but everything is too high.

Let be real though, Gay Lea does make a great product and we've used it for years. We've only encountered one issue ever with it but Gay Lea's custom service was happy help. (They were a bit confused that we put our butter in a butter dish and didn't keep the wrapper to give them the lot number off of.)

I switched to this butter because it uses Canadian milk. I'm still trying to figure out how best to support Canadian businesses. It's relatively inexpensive but obviously not high in butter fat.

Just not great quality. Walmart brand is better and cheaper.
