Love this machine. Takes up less space than I thought and is incredibly impactful to most muscle groups that get worked effectively with a very simple workout. Great for cardio too. What a simple way to get fit. Will be my main source of exercise - I'm a heart recovery patient and this is perfect!

Great way to exercise

I purchased the Gazelle Supreme a month ago... the dvd includes a 10, 20 and 30 minute workout. Needless to say I am still a beginner! up to 12 minutes. This machine was exactly what I was looking for. I was really shopping around for an elliptical; however they take up so much space (and cost A LOT more) Like most exercise equipment there is a little noise, but not bad at all and I use in the study with the workout dvd in my computer. My 17 year old put together pretty effortlessly. It folds in half, is pretty mobile and doesn't take up a lot of space. I LOVE IT!!

low impact GREAT workout

Gave this as a gift to our son, who told us there was very little assembly required.  He is extremely happy with the Gazelle.  It gives him a great workout with no stress on his knees or shoulders.  He also loves that it doesn't take up a lot of floor space, and folds up when he needs to move it.  Happy we bought the top-of-the-line Supreme model, which is priced very low at Walmart.

Gazelle Supreme is Great!

I got this for myself and my wife for late night exercise on those days when we really didn't get to go outdoors much (esp. in the winter). Went for the "supreme" model so that when we've built up our muscles, we'd have more use for the machine (as per other reviews).
The thing is *heavy*, and I barely was able to carry it home (I'm a weakling), and it took ~1.5 hrs to build (not difficult).
I now use it every night for ~30 min, and I'm very happy with it. So far, it's quite quiet and I can watch TV at low volume a few feet away and work out in my apartment, without bothering my neighbors or my sleeping kid.
Note: I was fully aware that this was a device that wouldn't make me "sweat profusely", but trust me, if you're out of shape, even the basic tension will make you sore! (in a good way!)

Great for evening exercise in the house

I was hesitant to buy this, as I have another piece of exercise equipment that collects dust. But after reading reviews on several different websites for this, I was convinced that this was something I would like and use.
I've started out with 6 minutes the first few days and was sore in all the right places! Now, a week later, I'm up to about 15-20 minutes at a time pretty much everyday! Even though it says to use the Gazelle about 3 times a week, I cannot resist using it more. It is that fun :) I turn on Pandora and my bluetooth speaker and jam out gliding!
Oh and yeah...it squeaked some. I sprayed some silicone lubricant in the squeaky areas. It's fine and quiet now.
I have to admit I've only hooked up the resistant pistons a few times. I'm not quite ready for that much resistance, but good to have that option.
I've lost 5 pounds this week. Happy with that...but have about 50 more to go. I play to add or submit before and after photos one day!

The Gazelle, around for many years in various models, is now available in the Supreme Machine, and it is just that, "Supreme."  Providing a great cardiovascular workout with heart rate monitor, the Gazelle promotes both upper and lower body toning.  It's low impact is non traumatic to knees and hips.  Economical with small footprint.

An Old Friend, the New Gazelle!

I f the Gazelle Supreme on recommendation of a friend. I wanted something with low/no impact and fun. This is the machine for that! I have been enjoying it in the morning while watching the news. You can get some sort of an arm workout on it depending on if you lean forward or backward and really use your arms. I am in shape and not a beginner by any means, but I did take the hydrolics off for right now as I wanted to swing freer and faster with no strain on my knees. I did try the hydrolics at first and it will give you a great workout but find without them to be more fun for now. It is a nice feature to have and would recommend paying a little more for the Supreme as it is supposed to be beefier. Walmart had the best price, by far, and it is a very little cost for a piece of equipment that is made well. I do have to say that the directions did not exactly match up with the order of building. "F" is something that had already been done for you so they obviously forgot to take that out. Pretty easy to figure out on your own, though. I would highly recommend this for a fun workout.

Very low impact

This is the third gazelle machine I've owned in my life; I've always been satisfied with them all, but this is by far the best, mainly for the frame and foot pedals. The frame is sturdy, and the foot pedals are made of probably best material they could be made with, your feet will never slip on this machine, unlike the other Gazelle models. Also, this comes with rubber shock absorbers on the steel cables, which fix a problem with prior models. Actually, I used to own the Freestyle and the hinge broke after several years of heavy use; Then I bought an edge, and after several years of heavy use, the hinge broke on that as well; Not that i'm complaining; because I'm not. I really feel that I got my value out of both of those machines before they broke--lost 50 lbs with the freestyle; then it broke, gained my weight back, got the edge, and lost 50 lbs again; so they were both great machines. But the Supreme is KING.

I can tell that this one is designed to last a very long time--the shock absorbers greatly reduce the pressure that is put on the hinges, and make for a very smooth glide. I love using this machine; it's so easy to use for 2-3 hours a day while watching tv, and is very fun and effective if you use it backwards.

I haven't used the pistons really yet--I like to take it easy while watching tv, but this machine is well worth it for the frame, but most of all the foot pedals and shock absorbers.

You burn about 500-800 calories an hour on this thing depending on how much you weigh; the more you weigh the more you burn.

The only thing you really need to be aware of is that you MUST use heavily lubricate any part that moves on this machine, or it will squeak. So get out the wd-40, spray it thoroughly in every part that moves, and start watching TV on this thing.

Gazelle Supreme!!!

Only been 2 weeks but so far this machine gives me a good cardio work out, rain or shine .I know its new but no issues with noise and glides smoothly . I will try to write another review after 6 months and let all know how the machine is working. 4 Stars for now possibly 5 in the near future.

Great way to exercise.

I have had my glider for about a week now, I have used it 3 times. I am overall happy with it. its easy to use, however if you are a beginner it may be a little tough I've been working out for years and I thought the lowest resistance was a little tough (however I like it). My only complaint is the screen it is very difficult to see it while your working out you would almost have to bend down to see it I am not happy about this at all as I like to monitor pulse, distance, heart rate, other wise I am satisfied. you do have to put it together... glad my husband had that task.

overall happy with purchase

To assemble, you have to destroy most of the packaging, so forget being able to return it. Directions were poorly written. I picked this because it advertised that it was easy to fold and store. Final piece is unwieldy, heavy, and difficult to fold up, difficult to store upright as well. I spent the extra money for the Supreme model for the "resistance" option - which is hardly an option at all. The "resistance" is in the form of two hydraulic cylinders - either they are connected or not. There's no increase or decrease option. I absolutely regret this purchase.
