Great beginner gel blaster especially for young kids with the low velocity barrel. Then when the kids want to play more competitively or with adults, they can but the faster barrel in. the battery being built in and charged with usb-c is so easy to use. I believe the gel blaster also has overheating precautions to prevent fire. It is great as a gift for people wanting to get into gel blasters.

Its really good overall but needs to charge for 6 hours before playing. This is amazing for my kids! They are so happy and play with it all the time. Its worth the price!

Really good item

Neither one would charge after about two to three very shallow battery cycles. im pretty sure these were new old stock, as the packaging was pretty faded, and a bit worn. I kind of suspected that was the case going into it, but it was about 1/3 of the price that they are normally so i took a chance. If anyone else has this problem with these, and you are handy with a soldering iron, its pretty easy to fix. its not the batteries that fail, its the charging circuit itself, so it can be fixed by straight wiring the battery pack to the switch, and motor, bypassing all of the circuitry inside. this is how the pirahna is designed, same wire guage, same switch, same internals, just a different casing on the outside. well im done pooping so ttyl lol!

We bought two Gel Blaster Surge blasters for Christmas. They are the exact same model. One works perfectly, but the other does not work at all. We charged both for over six hours as instructed. The working one is fine, but the other says it's fully charged and then immediately has no charge.

After reading other low reviews, it seems many people are having the same issue. This was a big letdown, especially for a Christmas gift. Quality control is clearly inconsistent.

Very disappointed – inconsistent quality

Battery issues. Although it seems to be working now, it's intermittant. And it doesn't shoot as far as the you'd hope, like 20ft. Although it does seem to shoot farther in full auto mode, however that drains your gellets VERY quickly in full auto because the hopper isn't very big.
I did pay $15, which seemed like an awesome deal. And it is. Except the Xshot clutch seems to work better, shoot farther, but no full auto. But it's cheaper in a double pack (only $12.50 per blaster).

I did contact Surge about this and I actually got a phone call from the new owner of surge! He said that apparently the company Surge went out of business and sold-off these old blasters for cheap to Walmart (hence why they are only $15!!) but the batteries just don't work well. They have redeveloped their blasters, but gosh they are super expensive! He even gave me a discount code, but yikes, still too much. But maybe you get what you pay for?

the box looked new. the product was correct item. i didn't use it right away. i should have tried it to know if it worked at all. item doesn't work. just tried about 3 months after purchase.

it did not charge it does not work as they say it worked it would like to have a free a refund but we forgot all about it we just put it in the corner my grandson kept trying to charge it and it did not work at all....

It was not a nice gift for my grandson...

Purchased 4 of these. 3 work one won't hold a charge. Tried sveral times to charge still wont. Very disappointed. Thinking these were on tge shelves for a long period of time as the battery will no longer hold a charge. Gone return and hopefully get one that works.

this thing is terrible!  I'm only on the sample bottle of pellets they provide with it and it barely shoots more than 10 feet away.

I put the Battery on the charger but every time I do it show red for like 2 minutes then green but it's not charged   Those pictures were taken within 2 minutes
