I like the color selection in this pack, it's a little more than basic and a decent quality, especially considering the price, feels like a real value. I'm a beginner but I get frustrated by low quality that I want to quit so I'm glad I bought these, I can keep having fun and learning.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] beautiful colors, bright and vibrant, good selection, even for portraits.  colors blend well, rhe yellows and reds are very strong, the blues and purples will probably need to dry and layer.  but for the price they're a great sampler to try the medium.  reviews by other artists, said they came close to the top three high end brands!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are excellent watercolor pencils at an excellent price. The colors are rich and vivid. They dissolve well when water is applied. They also blend beautifully. I was very pleasantly surprised and will be using these for my artwork in the near future.

Excellent Quality

I have been using Zebra pens and mechanical pencils for years and was somewhat upset when I realized that my local stores no longer carried the mechanical pencils in 0.5mm lead diameter....Thankfully I can still order them on online.

Spots may be for squares...but I want thin stripes!

Will definitely buy again.

Zebra Pen

i love the derwent products, they are of very high quality, its a standard you can rely on. started using Derwent pencils . art media in 2005, when i took some art classes at local community college.

An excellent every day mechanical Pencil that performs above par compared to other mechanical pencils that I have used. Writes well, lead advances well and hols in place very well.

M-301 Mechanical Pencil

It's really nice to have a pencil that matches the look and feel of the F series zebra pens. I love it for marking music in rehearsals, the occasional sketch. The hidden eraser comes in handy too.

A Perfect Match

I love these pencils and they seem to work for my style of drawing but I cannot condone Derwent style of sales. I had to ease into the purchase of these prncils since they are so expensive but I cannot justify purchasing all 72 or 100 just because I need 3 or 4 that only exist your largest size purchase. How can I buy individual colours without paying for all the ones I do not need ?

This rating is for my perceived quality of the pencils, not,

I am a self-taught artist. I started with coloring different mandalas and using watercolors. These were recommended by a fellow artist. As I went further down the artist path I started to use these with my acrylic paintings and I absolutely love the depth they help you achieve. Ive had my 1st set for years now and its time for a new set.

I looooooove these

Great watercolor pencils for water colorists. Work well as just a colored pencil. Not as great for watercolor artist as it doesn't pull as intense of color. Made in USA is an added bonus. Bright color variety and more muted color palette included.

Good for the price!

On the Walmart site it says these are acid-free so I waited several days  for it to come in, picked it up went home and opened it up no where on the box or paper inside does it say acid-free so I returned it
