Works great until it doesn't. The non stick surface quits being non-stick after a while. Granted, I had mine a couple of years or more but it did not have that much use and the heating portion of the appliance worked just as good as when new.   If you do a little checking, ceramic coated pans typically last 2-3 years so I guess this grill performed as designed, which is to say very mediocre.

OK if you want to throw away in a couple of years.

I have loved George Forman grills for many many years. I have one that is at least 10 years old and still remains easy to clean. But that one does not have removeable plates, so about 2 years ago when I bought a new house, I picked up this one for the new house, thinking it would be even easier to clean. Wrong!! This product has become very difficult to clean. The non-stick coating has been wearing off this year and tearing the burgers, salmon filets, etc. when I lift the lid. Yesterday my husband worked on it for me, scrubbing the grill plates for so long that it started to hurt his back and he finally had to give up, saying he needed a break! I was shocked that this could be happening with a Foreman grill-- it's something that I had never before experienced with any of my older ones.  I really loved it when I first bought it: it cooks well and fast and cleaned easily initially but if it only cleans well for the first  year or so, it's just not worth buying/using.

So disappointing
