I have breathing issues and rely on all my air cleaners to help me. This one is no exception. Does a great job. Filter is easy to change and it looks nice as well. The price could be a little lower. Also mine had a bit of w smell when it first started but dissipated after a few days.

Great

This is the second one of these I bought. The first one was for the work place, this one for my house. I have 4 cats, and their dander was making my eyes itch and water. Now I run this filter day and night on low, and I no longer have allergy problems from the cats.

Super useful for allergy sufferers

I would highly recommend the GermGuardian for anyone that has pets, needs a little background noise at night, to help keep the dust or odor particles down, to keep any room slightly cooler with fresh filtered air circulation, except the bathroom of course. We have 4 of them %26 use them daily according to what room it is. There are 3 settings-low, medium %26 high, very easy to use %26 to replace the filter. The main room we use it in daily is the living room where there is the most traffic %26 we spend  a lot of time.  Especially due to me having allergies %26 asthma.

GermGuardian is the best buy for your money

Solid fan and seems to work.  Has all the features as advertised. So far I am very happy with it. I bought it for the UV light and germ killing feature. It has a washable filter in the back which is a good. Not sure how to tell if the UV Light is effective.

Sturdy No Nonsense Hepa Filter Fan.

Bought this to replace a larger Germ Guardian. Gave that one to my brother for a mold/mildew problem. It had indicator lights to show when fan with filter and/or UV light was on and they would blink when needing replaced. This one has neither. Fan is noisy even on lowest setting. There are recommended  replacement times for filter and UV bulb but no way of knowing if either has failed early. Filter would be easy to check but bulb could stay burned out for months without realizing it. I would recommend getting one with the better features.

Lacks Important Features

I do recommend this product but the prefilter is not like it use to is see through doesn't have enough to clean the air for the money not good enough it should be thicker the price should be $9.99
