CADR (clean air delivery rate) ratings are high with 235 (smoke); 239 (dust) and 237 (pollen). I bought this unit due to COVID-19 concerns. It is my hope it will be useful in allowing us to give safer care to any family member who may contract the virus---helping to prevent the virus from spreading to others.  To my surprise, I am breathing easier overall.  The unit has improved our living space air noticeably with removal of stale odors and allergens that had been irritating my sinuses more than I had realized.

Have no complaints at this time.  Got this for my mom at a retirement home.  She smokes.  It does run quiet on one and two.  Is noisy on 3.  Works fine on 2    Only had a few days.  In does seem to be built with good material.

The item is attractive and non-invasive. There is no noise at the lowest setting. The instructions for cleaning the filter and replacing the light are simple and easy to read. We've had the two items for several days and they appear to do what the claim to do. Good product.

It's only been a week and I've had it on only when I'm in the room and the sinus inflammation I was experiencing has been cut in half! I have cats and wondered if that was the issue. This has really been working and I'm so relieved I finally found something effective for me. 
Easy to install. Easy to register the warranty. Fan speeds are odd (quiet to the point you don't know if it's on and then all of a sudden kinda loud and louder) but I like the white noise. Helps cover sounds from other apartments. Can still watch TV and hear it fine. 

Seriously, I did a lot of research before purchasing. This one is the most powerful one for this price. There really isn't anything better. The UV setting can even be turned off, as can the light on it.

I can finally breathe!

We've had some chemical cleanup going on near our home and the community has been dealing with headaches and upset stomachs due to the horrendous smell from the tar pits. I was so worried with a newborn and how it might be affecting my baby, as it was causing issues for myself and older child. We have two smaller tower models that we use in our children's bedrooms, and we have this in the master. The first night of use we woke up with a much clearer head and the nausea was gone. We use every day and it has definitely made a difference!

Works great in larger space!

I'm 7 months pregnant and have been plagued by sinus problems including nose bleeds. After one weekend of using this, they're GONE. My husband is no longer suffering from allergies during the night either. I had no idea it would help so much. We usually sleep with a fan on and this white noise has completely replaced it. But the level 1 setting is near silent. I wish I had bought one years ago. I cannot believe how well it's worked for us and I love how lightweight it is! I can carry it to our living room to run all day then to the bedroom at night. For a area saturated with allergy triggers this is a total godsend

Best investment ever

I bought it for my daughter for the new baby that will be here on the 18 th of this month. The purifier is still in the box.

On the lowest speed, it is barely audible.  On 2 or 3, it is like a windstorm!  To sleep withit, it must be on low.  The nightlight is very subdued.

Schitzoid

I have no basis for making a rating. I don't have the skill or tools necessary to make an informed decision for whether these filter work or not. All I can tell is that they're on and speed 3 is very loud. I'm EXTREMELY disappointed that there is no data available to tell me how often the room is quot;turned overquot; at settings 1 and 2. This seems like a MAJOR deceptive bait and switch technique.

Deceptive advertising

Speed setting 1 is ok for noise. Speed setting 2 is a lot louder. To me, too loud. Setting 2 is the speed I believe I need for the required auto exchange. So, I returned 
the unit and bought 2 of the AC4825.
