[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Gillette Fusion ProShield Men's Razor through the Walmart Spark Reviewer program free for my honest review of the product. This razor features FLEXBALL Technology that responds to the contours of your face and gets virtually every hair. I love the way this razor moves across my face and over my chin without cutting the skin. The ProShield razor blades have lubrication before and after the blades meet your skin and shield it from irritation. These are Gillette's thinnest finest blades and have less tug and pull for incredible comfort. ProShield razor blades have a precision trimmer on back for accurate edging that works really well and gives a very smooth straight line. My wife has used it on her legs and underarms, and she loves the way it moves on those areas that are so easy to cut with a double blade razor. We have both used the same blade several times now, and it is just as sharp as it was the first time we used it. We also like the holder that came with it. The razor fits into the holder securely, and the razor case clips to the back of it, so you have everything all together.

Best Razor Ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use shave soap and a brush the old fashion way for shaving. This razor just glided across the face and gave me a very close shave. The blades are different a little farther apart than most razors that makes it very easy to rinse without leaving junk between the blades. Instructions say the blades will last for a month, I have no doubt about that because it's so easy to clean.
The ball on the razor makes it follow the contour of your face. Another good feature is the shave holder, it snaps the razor in place, protects the blades, so it can be used for travel.
I snapped out the blade with the push of a button, and the other blade just pushes in to snap into place. Easy to change the blade. Easy grip rubber coated handle makes it easy and comfortable to hold.

Smooth shave, not like other razors.

Move over guys! This is made for women too!  When us gals need a close shave - our under arms, privies, and legs... closest shave one can get that leaves a silky smooth skin!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thought I would give this razor a try. I have used a different brand for a lot of years and although it worked OK, it wasn't anything special. After giving these a try I was very pleased at the closeness of the shave I got and how well it just glided over my skin. I am sold, this will be my choice for a razor from now on. I do not know how long the blades will last, but I have yet to fell any difference in their quality of my shave.

Really Close Shave!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always been a huge fan of the Fusion branded Gillette razors. This one is no exception. It did a great job of cleaning up a weeks worth of no shaving with no problem. No pulling or nicks.
I will say that I regularly use the fusion pro glide before using this one. The big difference is that it's supposed to have another lubricating strip on both side of the blades for more comfort. I couldn't tell much difference. All of the fusion line is great. This is more or less a slight adjustment to the product to attract more market share.
If you already use a fusion product, you aren't going to be wowed by this one. It's very similar.

My favorite thing about these razors is that they last so much longer than most other razors. They may cost a little more, but when you consider each blade lasts nearly double of its competitors. The price ends up being similar for a much better product with the fusions.

Most Women might not pick this because it's not pink or girly. But Nothing Works As Well For Me, it does a good job and I don't get cut! 😊

Gillette pro glide shield

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After receiving this razor as a free sample, I have now been using it for 2 weeks. With each shave, I am less impressed than the last one. Why? The more I use the Gillette Fusion ProShield Men's Razor the more its drawbacks when compared to Gillette's Mach 3 become apparent. There are many positives to the Fusion ProShield, but also some negatives.
The five blades are super sharp, I mean super-super sharp! Sharper than the Mach 3's. The ProShield gives an excellent, smooth, super-close shave. This is great because I grow steel-wool coarse hair on my neck that grows in three directions, while the skin is very sensitive. Cheap razors give me razor-burn, bumps and irritation. The Fusion ProShield glided easily to give me a good shave. The bad part is the five blades are so close together that if there's too much hair it'll get stuck or gummed up. You would think that with 5 blades you could chop down a tree with it. Instead, with heavy growth, the first one or two edges want to float over the hair and then a trailing edge will get caught on the hair and tug on it. With how super sharp the blades are, when this happens the bare skin next to it gets nicked. Three days growth was too much for the blades to pass through. When using this razor, rinsing the blades is difficult because there's very little space between them. Water wants to run along, over and everywhere else but through the paper-thin gaps. To use this razor, I need to shave every day to continuously get good, even shaves otherwise the head gets caught on too much hair or hair gets trapped between the blades.
For a razor, the head is huge! With a lubricant strip on the top and bottom, and the blades, the head is over a half-inch tall. There's also a thick edge along the sides. It takes some getting used to such an oversized razor. It's a guess where to start for sideburns and I'm assuming trimming a goatee or moustache will be even more difficult. Edging with this behemoth is out of the question. Also, it has a lot of flex and pivot. With the Flex-Ball and its pivoting head, there's a lot of movement, or it stays put. There's a learning curve to using it.
After my fifth shave, I felt the blades losing their edge. On my seventh shave, it was rough and bumpy. I needed to replace the head. Optimally, I get 6 shaves from a single cartridge; but with having to shave every day for this razor to work at its best means a cartridge will only last a week to a week-an-a-half. This is much less than what I regularly get when using Gillette's Mach 3. With the Mach 3, I can get up to 10 shaves and can space out my shaves so a single cartridge can last up to 3 weeks.
When comparing the Gillette Fusion ProShield against the Gillette Mach 3, it comes down to a question of Quality of Shave versus Cost of Use. The 5-blade Fusion ProShield gives a slightly better shave but a four-pack of Fusion ProShield cartridges costs over $20, an 8-pack is $38. An 8-pack would probably last me less than 3 months. Quick math, that's five 8-packs a year totaling $200 dollars for years' worth of shaving. That's a chuck a' change! The Mach 3 gives only the slightest lesser shave, allows me not to have to shave every day and its Cost of Use is much lower. A 10-pack of cartridges costs approximately $30 and I use two a year, meaning I spend less than $75 a year.
I was given a four-pack of cartridges, along with my sample so I get to continue trying the ProShield for another 6 to 8 weeks then I have to make a decision. Stay with this or go back to the Mach 3's?

Impressive but not perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a female but often use razors geared towards men since many of then offer the close shave that I am looking for and often seem to work better than razors geared towards women. I tried this razor out and liked the fact that it gave me a close, smooth, comfortable have. The head which moves in various directions glided over my skin very nicely and the blades felt like good quality. It has lubrication strips on both sides of the razor. In The photo it shows these strips after one use and it looks like they have worn down a little further than expected for one use, but no big deal. What I didn't like about this razor is how slippery it felt in my hand. I hold a razor from the end and it is made of metal and plastic there. I would have liked a wider end with more grippy type material for better grasp. I had to keep rinsing off my hands to get soap off in an attempt to get a more secure feeling grip. It's hard to say if the razor blade and the way it works is so good that it's worth the lack in the grip department but if I had to choose to buy this razor or not, I probably would not because no matter how well a blade works, a razor should feel comfortable and secure in your hand. Hopefully Gillette will upgrade the handle on this in the future to create the most amazing razor ever. Check out my photos and video review. Thanks!

It Has Its Ups & Downs

This blade feels awful on your skin. Lots of drag. Makes it feel like I'm scraping the hair off instead of shaving. I'm very disappointed in this latest blade from Gillette! I'll be looking for a replacement.
