[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review will not be as thorough as I'd like, but I got it off-season. I will use it next summer in our garden. I hooked it up and tested it in the yard. I do like the vast area that the water reaches; I think it will come in handy during the growing season. In the past, we've watered with buckets, so I'm looking forward to using it.

Tripod Sprinkler

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mornings are already into the 30s here (November). And I've already sealed off and insulated my outdoor faucets for the winter. So, this review will be about the quality of the sprinkler and its design. And not its actual outside use. To begin with, it's a heavy unit. It's about 7 pounds on my kitchen scale. This isn't something that the wind outside is going to blow over. The tripod is heavy industrial aluminum with spikes on the bottom to stick it into the ground. The part of the tripod with the sprinkler on it is something I haven't seen before. You simply pull the tube out to the level you want to use it at, tap the bottom bulb and it locks into place. No knobs to tighten and untighten like with regular tripods. It's super easy to set up. And the sprinkler head itself? It's made of heavy cast aluminum with brass fittings. This is definitely a commercial grade sprinkler. The only plastic/rubber parts on it are the gripping points and knobs. I can't wait for summer to get here and get my yard going again. Highly recommended!

Incredibly Well Built Sprinkler!

I like that the legs are not joined together by a ring that slides 
up the water intake pipe. Legs move independently and have
spikes that are easily pushed into the ground for stability. The
sprinkler head moves slowly and puts out large amounts of
water ensuring saturation. I feel I will be able to water adequately
in half the time.

Awesome output

My husband has been digging for years trying to do this project himself (men, right!?). Anyway, we are almost ready to start growing the grass back again with some straw and this is perfect for this project. We have tested it out already and it'll be a huge help. The quality is also very nice! If you are looking for something like this, this is the one.

Perfect for our yard renovation

Simply put your watch on your scaffolding so that it goes off immediately in the first part of the day and late in the evening to stay away from the disappearing water disaster. Just setting your sprinkler will avoid the problem of getting up early to water your lawn before the day gets excessively hot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gilmour Pro Circular Metal Impact Sprinkler on a Tripod Base is an engineering beauty. Made of solid metal parts, except for the knobs and the spikes at the end of the tripod legs, the tripod extends up to 5 feet tall and the sprinkler can throw out water up to 53 feet away to cover a circular area of 8500 sq. ft. 

The sprinkler comes with no instructions because it does not need one. The thing is very simple to operate. Place the sprinkler on a lawn with the three legs fully opened and gently press into the ground. Connect the hose pipe. Adjust the circular throw button by adjusting the two rings. Turn the dial on the top to adjust the force of the water. Turn on the hose and that's all there is to it.

Now if for some reason you want to place the tripod on solid ground, you will be out of luck. The tripod legs have pointed footing to be poked into soft ground and the sprinkler is sure going to walk on a hard surface.

Sturdy Tall Sprinkler

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This one has much better coverage (more water output) than any of my manual sprinklers (they're non-pro sprinklers). The coverage area is very wide. I love that the legs are adjustable up and down (as is the range of coverage). I didn't have to read the box for setup instructions nor did I have to read it to figure out how to use this one. The spikes on the legs of the tripod hold it down very well (though if you're just setting it on cement for some reason, I think the force of the water and the "jerking" motion of the head would tip it over). It has better coverage and water output than my sprinkler system.

Better than my other sprinklers!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this via carrier but the box had some tears in it. Even though box was inside another box there may be some damage. Found a broken spring/screw in the box but can't figure out where it came from. Due to weather, I haven't hooked this sprinkler up yet. Hopefully it will still work

Not sure yet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this mainly for our backyard. It is fully adjustable and has great reach. It came with a tall and sturdy tripod. I have an average to good water pressure; I do not get the full benefits of this sprinkler but it waters my whole backyard well. If you have higher water pressure; you'd love this more!

Like I said, the tripod is sturdy, it is made out of aluminum and plastic; however, you still need to be careful when setting it up. Overall, great quality and it can be easily adjusted and regulated.
