The blue dots are very convenient. I used them to hang up for cardboard pictures on the wall. 
They came off easily, and did not get stuck. A few did not stick the items perfectly. I had to put a few dots on some boards.

Best for crafts!

This tape runner doesn't leave dots, it leaves the entire tape.  I tried posting a picture less than 5 mb as required but it wouldn't let me in this review.  I regret my purchase.

Don't buy for intricate die cuts.

Tape doesn't flow easily and gets off side of roller. Flap covering tape broke easily. Does hold photos in place without getting messy like paste/glue.

Works great. I like the applicator, bigger and easy to apply. It doesn't gunk up on the applicator for a smooth application.
