This stop watch is a great value relative to other brands which cost way more for the same functionality.
Other reviewers have noted the annoying alarm feature which is easy to turn on by accident. But it can be disabled by;
1) Press the Mode button until the time of day clock is shown,
2) Simultaneously press the two side buttons to arm/disarm the alarm. 
NOTE: When the alarm is armed, a speaker-like icon shows up above the right most seconds digit. 
Unfortunately this procedure is not clear in the user instructions. I got them from a Goldline stopwatch which appears to have the exact same functionality.

Great Value

This GoZone GZX-2031 is an okay basic stopwatch for the price, but does have some issues. I needed a stopwatch at the last minute for a weekend trial and found it quite adequate. It does take time getting to know the extra functions. The instruction sheet is less than ideal. The lap/split function is not in the instructions and I still haven't figured it out. The redundant second MODE button in the face is too easy to accidentally press -fortunately the timer keeps going. By default there is a button beep, a minute beep and a time of day alarm beeping sequence that can become a nuisance, especially in quiet settings. I see other reviews complaining about this and it's not obvious how to turn it off, even with the instruction sheet. You cannot turn the button beep off. You can turn the minute beep off, but it is easy to accidentally turn it back on while playing with functions. You cannot turn the time-of-day alarm function off, but can turn the nuisance alarm beeping off, although again it is easy to accidentally turn it back on. The fix is to open the case and put a tiny bit of tape over the contact area on the back of the cover to disable the speaker. If you lose the instruction sheet a copy can be found on the Go-Zone.ca website for the model number. Would I buy one again? Sure, Walmart often has these in store stock and the price is right.

An okay basic stopwatch, but beeps too much

Cheap quality and internal breakage.

Oh forget it. This thing will drive ya bananas. Alarm going off every hour of the night, cannot figure out how to turn it off for good. Customer service doesn't answer the phone. Nope, hard pass. I'll assume this one with end up in the trash or hammered to shut it up.

No, no, no!

Do not buy this! This stopwatch has a daily alarm that YOU CANNOT TURN OFF. I have been woken in the middle of the night for days on end by this horrible thing. The instructions are useless and google confirms: you CANNOT disable the daily alarm. So if you live in a small apartment, you will hear it at some point during the day or middle of the night. I already have alarms on my phone. I wanted a stopwatch only. An unwanted feature ruins this. Do not buy.

DO NOT BUY

I cannot believe I actually hate a product enough to spend time reviewing it on the Wal-Mart website, but this may actually be the most stupid piece of technology I have ever come across. It tries to be more than it needs to be. Let's face it, no one needs their stopwatch to tell the time, date, day of the week, and function as an alarm.

I wish that was the worst of it, but the alarm is a laughably awful feature. There is no real way to tell if it is active and no simple method of turning it off. Even after going through the thoroughly unhelpful manual does not help clear it up. Unless you want to be woken up at random times by it's incessant beeping, avoid at all costs. 

I read the review that warned of this before buying, and assumed it was just someone that wasn't great with technology, but no, this is just a truly awful product.
