Golden Artist Color Pouring Medium is a low crazing extender for acrylic paint pouring. Crazing is the formation of crevices that develop as acrylic paints and mediums dry. This medium extends paint colors and is useful for improving adhesion to chalky surfaces like plaster or weathered paint. Glossy finish, 32 ounce bottle.

GAC800 keeps my acrylic paint from cracking on my paintings.  I add 20% GAC800 to my pouring medium.

This is exactly the pouring medium I was looking for. Individual colors stay separate rather than combining into a muddy mess while I manipulate the canvas, even when my mix is thin. For most techniques I mix it 1:1 with regular craft acrylic paint and it works beautifully. I get good cell formation when I add silicone oil, too. I took off 1 star because the one drawback is that the wet working time is much shorter than with other mediums I've used. This means I need to work fast, particularly if I'm torching or blowing the paint, and there's no going back to tweak anything (I learned this the hard way, sadly). The price is a little higher than craft-quality pouring mediums, but the results are absolutely worth the extra few dollars per bottle.
