When I first heard of Activision Rebooting the Goldeneye Game, from the N64, I was pretty excited. I purchased it on the day of Release.

My overall opinion, coming from a person who loved the N64 version, is pretty positive. Graphics are great, gameplay is the same, and it has a great overall feel.

Few things I was a little dissappointed in were how they nixed Brosnan, the original Bond from the game, and replaced him with Craig. I like Craig but it was Brosnan's game. Also almost all the maps have been changed, few things have been left such as dropping from vent into the bathroom stall in the facility. The controls took me a little getting used to but after playing a while it has become natural feeling. I personally use the Gamecube Controller as I don't care much for the Wii Remote on FPS games, as odd as that may sound.

Overall I give this game 5 stars. I feel Activision did a great job transitioning the Old N64 Version into today's Generation taking some influence from today's top FPS games like Call of Duty and Halo. For any Bond fan and FPS lover I'd reccomend this game.

Also, the online play is pretty addicting. I experienced no lag and it was quite enjoyable to play.

GoldenEye

This game is awesome. The campaign is great and the online is epic. This is by far the best shooter on the wii. Worth every penny. This is a must buy for every wii owner. Buy this game.

Goldeneye 007 wii is GREAT

My hubby rented this game and plays it every single day. Yes, that may sound like it would be annoying for a wife but it is actually really easy to get caught up in the moment with him, especially with the online action. I find myself shouting at the screen: "the red is to your left!"

It truly is a great game to just become completely immersed in. Now, he gets an early Christmas present :)

Our game came with the remote-that makes the game better. This is the BEST game ever!!!! Husband and kids race to see who gets to this game first every day! Also came with a cool t-shirt.

BEST game ever!!!!

The wife and I purchased it tonight and LOVED it. We were playing the 64 version today and decided to buy the WII version. While the 64 version is classic this is a much needed remake.

Goldeneye is BACK!

I wanted GoldenEye because I never got to play the N64 version back in 1998. This newer version does have amazing graphics and is very detailed. However, the controls with the Wiimote or Classic Controller Pro are terrible. I can mess with settings until I'm Blue in the face and the crusor will not move right, but its just fine in Metroid Prime Trilogy. I don't like the forced button configuration with the pro Controller so I can't edit what button does what. Even in Operative (Begginner; 3rd 007 Game, 1st from Activision) the game is very, very, very hard in some areas. I hate that I can't play in Multi-Player because Activision never heard of AI controlled Bots. EVERYBODY NEEDS PRACTICE SOMETIMES! Or I just feel like playing ALONE!

You Must Have A GoldenEye, To Live By

I bought this game because I loved it on the N64. However, I am overall disappointed in it. First of all, I had to turn the brightness on my TV all the way up to get through the first level. You literally could not staircases and doors with normal settings. Second of all, the controls take some getting used to. Finally, the multiplayer was a complete letdown. If you have an Xbox or PS3, then I would stay away from this game. To only reason that I can see Goldeneye being an asset to any collection, is if you only have the Wii system.
