This is my second elliptical Gold's Gym 380 Stride trainer in four years. I wore out my first one a month ago. I used this elliptical from 5 to 6 days a week (except when on vacation) for 1/2 hour a day. I found problems with the first one where it started making noises and so I investigated what was causing the noises and it was the shaft that the handles swing on. All I did is take the screw off of one end of the shaft and put a shim washer (very thin)on the shaft anywhere between the swinging arms to tighten up the slack. Anytime there is slack in this area even a slight slack, the sound will travel throughout the metal parts on this elliptical machine and it was hard to locate exactly where the noise was coming from so by trial and error I found it to be this shaft. You have to grease that shaft and the other moving parts so it won't wear out the brass bushings used on this machine about every 1 or 2 months depending on how much you use it. As far as it not being stable when you first get on it you have to make adjustments by spinning the rear wheel adjustors up or down on a hard floor to level it from rocking back and forth. I put mine on carpeting after adjusting it on a hard floor and it is sturdy. The instructions tell you how to do this. Other than making minor adjustments this elliptical will really tone you up and take weight off as it did me. I lost over 50lbs in less then one year with this elliptical and a sensible eating plan which consisted of one meat a week and lots of vegetables, fruits and nuts-seeds to take away hunger. At 70 years of age I know it will work for anyone but most of all it keeps you fit and healthy. You can tell it by how you feel. Start out slow like I did-5 minutes a day for a couple of days and then I upped it to 10 minutes and when I got to one hour I backed off to 1/2 hour a day which just right to keep fit. I hope this helps someone who has had these problems with this elliptical.

This works great for me (5'2", 130 lbs, need to reach my goal of 120)! My husband was able to assemble the elliptical in about 2 & 1/2 HRS. I was able to help him as well. Easy instructions to follow :) I recommend this product to anyone who is looking for an elliptical to workout at home.

Wasn't hard to put together and I am a women of about 150 and had no trouble and did it by myself. All tighten up and ready to go. I do have a mechanical aptitude too. Been using it and feeling the work out burn. Love it plan to use it everyday. Thank you.

Great for the price

I was able to put it together by myself (58 yr-old woman) in one evening. My daughter and I use it every day; it seems to be fine for our training needs. Cheaper than a gym membership for both of us!

Adequate Elliptical Trainer for the price

It's was easy to assemble and very good instructions I am rating it low because it wobbles even on the hard floor with a lot of tight it still wobbles I have it on carpet and its kind of annoying the wobble

Interesting

Overall for the money it does a good job. Assembly wasn't too bad but I think they could improve the wiring assembly for the installation of the console also the console screen is dark and difficult to see. The elliptical makes a creeking noise when in use but it is tolerable.

The instructions were easy. Sometimes you need two people but most of it was easy to put together for one person. The machine is not a silent machine. It does make some noise  but nothing obnoxious or loud. It does provide a great workout. Extremely effective for quads, calves, and glutes.
The only issue I had was with the first two screws. They didn't fit evenly in the slot to hold the front leg piece together.

Good product for the price

The eliptical came to my door two weeks ago. None of the hardware was in the container. Called and had the company send me the missing parts. It is two weeks later with a bunch of eliptical peices littering my garage floor...still no nuts and bolts.

Still Waiting

put it together and im sorry i bothered, you will be lucky if this lasts six months VERY creaky and wobbles and i weigh 159 cant imagine someone over 200 using it . It will simply wobble its way to nothing in no time, not worth the money in any way shape or form.Boxed it up and returned it.
