During heavy rainfalls, a typical roof can produce hundreds of gallons of water. The rain wizard features an attractive faux oak barrel design, so it naturally fits in with your landscape. Made with a plastic mesh screen, bugs, animals, and debris will not enter while still being easy to remove for cleaning and maintenance. A front-side overflow keeps water from flooding against your outside wall. The flat-back design is the most convenient feature as it allows your barrel to sit right up against your home, so you don't have to worry about purchasing excess downspout parts.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After I bought yours, I found a less expensive one in another site.

I basically like it; it's very similar to another one I bought on Amazon a year or so ago.  But on this one I had to enlarge the hole in to top to accommodate the downspout extension.  And I discovered that whoever had cut the hole originally left the cutout inside the barrel with all the plastic sawdust.  One real concern is that there were several notices on it that said the water collected in it will not be drinkable because of lead.  Where's the lead?  Plastic with lead?  I use the water for my vegetable garden and don't want lead there.

I basically like it, but where is the lead?

I would say overpriced 
Probably should have purchased a " stand" to put on for stability and draining access BUT did not know that you can purchase it . Lots of debris inside from drilling and cutting during assembly - RINSE OUT WITH HOSE B-4 you install

Rain water Control

Terrible product.  Would give negative stars if I could.   The metal spigot has to be screwed into the plastic threading which is a terrible design.  I followed the directions exactly and the first time I tried screwing it in the plastic threading stripped and made the product worthless.

Awful product.  Bad design.

We  bought this rain barrel 3 years ago.  The flat back does not have the integrity to support the water weight.   It flexed out and cracked 2" from the bottom with a 5" crack across the back at 3 yrs old, (Not due to a freeze) Very disappointing longevity for the price.  I would not recommend this style of rain barrel.

One of these barrels leaks at the spiket. We followed the instructions exactally.
