[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a Pixel 5 from SmartResale. It came new in an unopened box just as stated. I could hardly believe this as the phone came out 5 ago in 2020-21 and ordered it in Oct 2025 so I wasn't sure it it would really be brand new. It works great and had everything in the box the Google paperwork, charger, cable, even the USB B to USB C adapter.
I chose the Pixel 5 over the Pixel 9a or Pixel 10 because it is smaller, and still supports unlimited photo and video uploads to Google Photos for life. This is the last Pixel phone that supports this, it was dropped starting with the Pixel 5a.
I came from a Pixel 4a. The screen is better, the phone is more premium, it's slightly faster, I love the 33% bigger battery, the 4a had about 3000 mh and this has 4000 mh, I like that it has wireless charging and an alunimum premium feel. I love that it has a larger screen too but still fits in almost the exact size case.
The only negative is they dropped the headphone jack on this.
