While reading the reviews I was skeptical in how this mesh network could improve the performance in our home. Almost right away, I was blown away!!  The set up was relatively easy, the performance is so much better and the ability to monitor and manage our wifi connection are great!  I can't say enough good things about this solution, but I guarantee that this is definite value for the investment.

Nest CA

I bought a three pack of the Google Wifi at the Google store. It arrived 3 days later. Setup was quick and easy. It is easy to manage but I am used to configuring other routers where there is a lot more tweaking available. In spite of this it is doing a great job. Maybe simplicity is a good thing.

Good Wifi all over.

Excellent product! Better than expected. Easy to set up and access for rental properties. Definitely a 5 star product and I highly recommend this for people with short term rentals or people who require several access points for large properties. Love the option to create private password off site and email to my guests. Amazing!!!  Best purchase I've made in a long time.

I had a Nest Wifi Router and 2 points in a 3 floor house with thick walls.  There were still some dead zones and weak spots in the house which is approx 3500 sq/ft so I added Google Wifi to my setup.  Being able to connect these over Ethernet directly to my switch has provided the stability I was hoping for and they integrate nicely into the Google Home WIFI section.  I'd recommend as an addition if / when needed.

Good addition to Nest Wifi

First bought Google mesh 3-pack, then needed to expand, so purchased a Google Nest mesh 3-pack to add to it. Set the Google Nest Router as the main router and the other 2 Google Nest and the 3 Google mesh devices as access points. Works well most of the time, but I sometimes find one or more nodes go offline for no explicable reason, later returning online on its own. I sometimes need to restart the whole mesh network to regain full functionality. Can somebody at Google Support help me to make my mesh network more robust?

Mostly happy with it

I got the original Google Wifi right two years ago in 2019 and when first setup, I was blown away by the reliability of the connections and had great internet throughout my three-level home.  However, two years on, it appears that a recent update (Sept 2021) has started causing trouble with the remote points now showing weak connections to the primary point.  This has caused noticeable poor streaming quality and buffering.  It was so bad one day that the entire mesh network stopped working in any reliable fashion - there was either no connection or slow with lots of buffering.  Troubleshooting found no solutions for the weak connection (i.e. from restarting all wifi points to moving the units closer together to the point where they were in the same room).  Eventually, the next day things returned back to normal with weak connections and poor connections but simply without drops.  It appears to be an issue with the current version of the software that I hope somehow will get fixed.

Great when I first got them but recent problems

Love the mesh. Missing a global schedule feature which all basic routers have. Would be nice to at least have guest network subject to a schedule. You see kids are can hope over to the guest network and continue to use internet. This defeats the purpose of a family schedule.

Basic scheduling feature lacking

If rhe product is working right it is very simple to setup, however, if there is a problem teoubleshooting can be a nightmare. After communicating with support over many times i was still unable ti get one node up and running. Tried resetting many times and end up giving up. I finally gave upa nd they sat on the shelf for a year. Recrntly i tried once more to initialize and install. Two units appeared to be "on line" but again the third unit failed to establish communications although it worked independently. Could not reset to factory after many attempts. Returned units to the shelf after another exasperating experience. I have configured many routers and this is the first time i have been unable to get adequate support and/or failed to diagnose the problem. For the money spent you would expect google to be able to diagnose and resolve the issue. Not happy with the investment.

Not easy to setup when things are not right

Over the past 18-months the Wifi has become so unreliable as to be almost unusable. The system used to work perfectly, but following recent updates the Wifi drops out constantly, hardwired points often show as having the weakest signal, and speed is 10% or less of what is available at the router. There had been no change in my setup, and the performance of this system has declined to the point it will need to be replaced if Google can't fix what they've broken.
