Can be secure, but may have drainage issues.

Suitable for small quantity cooking, like 1 pound of pasta.

Suitable for cooking and draining 1 pound of pasta at a time.

I already knew Gotham products since I have had Gotham stoves for several years. Lockable handles for the cauldron are very convenient.

Excellent

This pot is very functional for boiling rice and noodles and soups. The easy click handles rotate well and seem secure. The surface seems to be nonstick and easy to clean with a soft sponge or dishcloth.

Functional for those with disabilities

the locking strainer top is what sold me. the non stick verbally coating is amazing though. I've bought two other Gotham steel pans since and they're all amazing.

great out with ceramic coating and locking lid

I purchased this for my daughter has i purchased this for my daughter as a birthday present a birthday present. She told me she told me“ I love my pot.”

I was skeptical that a pot that small could actually cook a full pound of pasta. I tried it with a pound of fettuccine and it came out fine. I'm quite happy with this purchase.

It is exactly as promised. The handles stay cool, so no more burnt fingers. The finish of this pot is non-stick, as described. If this pot stays at the top of my list, I may have to purchase the entire kitchen cookware set.

I love this pasta pot!

I love that the lid works as a strainer and you can lock it down with the handles. Also it's made of quality materials and non stick so super easy to clean.

Good buy

Everything about this is super except for the top. Where the metal meets the glass is very hared to clean. I had to use a toothbrush to get to a normal cook.

I believe it is still a buy, just so you look close at the cleanliness of the top when you think your done cleaning it.

Enjoy,

Lee

I regularly make broth and was excited to purchase this pot because of the strainer lid and locking feature. But after two months of use, I am very disappointed. The solids get stuck in the strainer and the liquid spills from the sides, even though I pour it with the lid locked. I'm better off using a separate strainer as before, which defeats the purpose. Also, the outside of the pot got stained after a few uses. I am extremely careful with my things, so this must mean the pot cannot stand heat well. Now I am past the return window and am stuck with it. I would not recommend it.

Disappointing

The photos are of an older model with better hardware on the locking mechanism. This is the second one I've purchased. The first one had solid metal hardware with more fasteners on the locking mechanism. (this is what is still shown in the photos) They have switched to plastic on the locking disks and removed a couple mounting screws to cheapen cost and increase profit. The new cheaper model does not lock the lid as tightly and I believe will not hold up over time. The plastic design gives sloppier tolerances, so one side barely overlaps the lid. I'm an engineer who's job involved cost-reducing products so I completely understand how this game is played. But I don't appreciate being deceived by showing older photos of a better product, and receiving an inferior product. The latest purchase was for my daughter who loved the original design, but instead on Christmas received an inferior gift. So I gave her my old one since it is better quality, and I will see how long this new one lasts.... I can't recommend it.

Not as depicted in the photos - Inferior!
