Great car seat so far

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish there was an option to have a canopy or sun shade for our son. He went from an infant car seat that included a canopy shade for 6 months to now having this seat (Extend to Fit) with no shade. So it is open to the bright sun. It took some adjusting but he tolerated being in the seat for a 6 hour car ride (with a couple stops) his first time using it. Overall its good but I think he is still adjusting to it as he usually falls asleep within 20 minutes of us being in the car and now it takes him close to an hour.

Needs a canopy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product about a month ago. I purchased two, one for each of my daughters. I have a 2.5 year old (33 months, 34in, 35lbs) & a 10.5 month old (24in, 19lbs). Both are rearfacing in a 2018 VW Atlas, second row. Install was super easy. Was easily able to get a correct install. My oldest says the seat is a lot more comfortable than her MaxiCosi Pria All-In-One, which is the seat we switched her out of to be able to do extending rearfacing. This is the main feature that sold us on this seat, as she's a big girl and was so close to maxing out her other seat's weight limit. My youngest was switched from the SnugRide Lite LX car seat. It was a little bit of an adjustment learning how to sleep in it since it's a bit different, but she seems to be happy in it. The only complaint I have is that no matter the recline, it does create a lot of head slump. Thankfully both of my children have great head control and we never needed to use the infant insert for this seat, but if you are using it for an infant without great head control, it could potentially be an issue. I love how safe the seat is rated. Overall, we love this seat & absolutely recommend it to everyone!

Installation was ok, though my husband recommends watching a YouTube video as the installation guide wasn't very helpful. Car seat looks good, seems comfy, but it always take a while to strap my son in as the straps take quite a bit of adjusting.

Good car seat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is bulky side to side. I have a small car and I am unsure if Ill be able to use the extended leg room in the future. I like that it has exetended weight limist and seems comfortable. The pockets on the side for the buckle do not hold the clip buckle in for easy storage as they are fit to do. They are not big enough and the buckle just slides right out.

Really like the extra leg room, without it our 1 year old just kicks and gets frustrated with the seat in front of her. Pretty easy to install, wish it was a little easier to tighten it to the chair, but that's a minor inconvenience. Probably the biggest complaint is to loosen the straps to get the baby in and out, you have to reach through a hole in the material to find the button to release the straps. Took us a while to find and figure out, and still not convenient.

Good, but not great.

I do not understand how this car seat has so many good reviews. I was so excited to move my baby girl out of her infant seat and into this convertible seat since she was getting too big for me to lug the heavy seat around nowadays. I bought it, went straight to the nearest fire station to have it installed by a CPST, and put my baby to go home in it. She was screaming so bad but I figured it was just since it was new and she was obviously not used to a seat different than the one she came home from the hospital in. Upon further examination of this product, I noticed the headrest sticks out about an inch or so further than the back of the seat. You can literally feel the bottom of the headrest, it's a hard foam underneath the thin padding and it was actually hurting my little ones neck! A lot of people have complained that Graco car seats make babies heads fall while their sleeping, which really didn't bother me much, but the thought of her laying her neck on that terribly hard piece was enough for me to know I made a mistake by buying this car seat. I know that the headrest was correct because the harness straps were right below her shoulders. There was absolutely no way to change it to make it comfortable either. Any lower and it would be digging into her shoulder blades and any higher and her sweet head would be laying on top of it. I believe that this car seat could be a budget friendly safe car seat for an older child, especially if you care about extended rear facing, but I have a pretty big 6 month old and I would not recommend for any babies around her age and definitely not any smaller.

Do not recommend if you care about your infants comfort
