This preview to what the GT5 will be is absolutely one of my top games. The graphics is next to none I've seen and the controls if using with a wheel like the G25 is amazing. Using the 6speed shifter with this game is just like driving an actual car.

Thank goodness they put this preview out before the real game because I don't think I would have made it that long without a good game to play with.

even tho this game is basically a demo it was a pretty good game. it didnt go into great detail like the other gran turismos in the past, i guess thats why its a demo. but the online play is pretty good and for it being a demo its something that someone that likes gran turismo should pick up. the real game wont be out until 2009 so this is something that should hold you until then. and since sony updates its games on a regular basis its not a bad buy

As usual with this game series, everything looks outstanding. This game has always been a hit in our household. This version has the best graphics so far. Of course, you do need a lot of free time because the game can go on forever; but most folks who like this game have no problem with that. The only drawback for us was getting used to the controls when in the past its been played on a computer. But when you have the hang of it.. you may not see the person playing for a few days! Its great to just watch too.

The graphics are just jaw dropping! better than the real thing.
Wish they would have a good working steering wheel though. If you are used to the controllers, then you are ok.

I seen that there were people saying that there are way less tracks and cars, and about the inability to tune your cars. That is because this is only like a demo virsion that they put out so people could get an idea of what the graphics and gameplay was like before the real deal comes out at a later date.

its only a prequel

This in itself IS NOT GT5. IT is a PROLOGUE, basiclly a glorified DEMO. Once the real GT5 is out you will be able to tune up cars, bigger selection of cars than any previous GT and more tracks. This is just a sample of what is to come. Though $40 is alittle much for this, it should be around $20 in my opinion. Other than that, do your research on a product before purchasing.

PROLOGUE

Overall good game, not what I expected from the GT series. I played everything from the beginning to GT 3 and the upgrading of the vehicles was the best part. The idea to remove that and just run vehicles was not well received here. The graphics are amazing in HD with the HDMI cable, and the driving and racing is as good as I expected.

Good but not Great

I bought a ps3 for my fiance and with it bought GT5. The last GT game either of us has played was 2 on ps1. We are so disappointed in the inability to tune up or change in any way the cars. The choice of cars seemed limited and didn't take long to get through the classes.

not what i expected...

This game does not have the full capabilities of previous games and was dissappointing. Worse than that, it took nearly a month for Walmart to deliver it to the store for us to pick it up. We will never use the store delivery option again

" eye candy " does not make a game good - stay away from this and wait until the REAL product for GT5 is released and b4 u buy, read all of the gaming mag's reviews...it's ur $$$, use it wisely...these games have no story line, just run around a few tracks and you've finished the game in 4 hours...GT4 is far better, even though you have to make up your own races to run, because the basic game can be completed in 4 days...if u wanna race, try F-1 and wait until Sony gets the GT series correct...that's my take on GT5 !!!!
