This hot water bath pot is perfect when canning, pickling or anything where you need to do a hot water bath. Holds 7 quart jars or 7 pint jars. The rack keeps them from clanking together and allows you to add the jars in before immersing into the water and once completed the handles of the rack make for easy capture of the jars without having to worry about the hot water.
By adding a little vinegar to the water, the jars will not come out with the white film on them and upon cooling the pot down, give a good sudsy wash to remove any residue -- your pot will last  for many years!

We have owned a previous version of this canner for years. This is a replacement for my wife. She loves doing things the way she was taught as a kid and chose to stay with this version of water bath canning.

Really great value for the price.  i needed to jar lifter and for $12 more i got the pot and a spacer for the bottom for water bath canning.  Great deal.  Highly recommended item!

Very good value.

This is one product that is worth every penny. This canning pot provides all the canning needs plus imagine making comfort food and soups. Canning everything and put it away until needed. It helps out to prevent freezer burn foods. And because it is a stock pot it can be used to make big meals for big families

It was just what I needed. It's perfect a little heavy when it's full of water, but that's what canning is. The rack works great to lower and lift jars out of water and I can grab hot jars with oven mitt once the rack is resting on the sides of the pot. It saves me a lot of time and effort and much safer when removing hot jars from the pot. I definitely recommend it and I would buy it again. Item looks exactly as pictured.

Perfect canning pot!

This water bath canner is the exact kind that I grew up with as my mother tirelessly canned huge amounts of homegrown fruits and vegetables to feed our family of 7 during the challenging winters on our farm in Northeastern Ohio! Excited to do my own canning now…
This canner is every bit as large and sturdy as my mom's was.

Great canner just like the days of old

I drove back to pick up the lid (it was omitted).  I didn't realize they were in stock or I would have bought it at the store.  Oops!  Thanks so much! I was making apple butter and needed to process the jars for storing in the cabinet.

This pot was ordered from Walmart so I didn't see it before purchasing. With that said I want to say it's BIG! But it does what I bought it for (1st time canner) the canning rack held my 4 jars good but it would hold a lot more.  I used pint jars. 
I love its concept but if I'd seen it I would have purchased a smaller pot

1st time canner and its BIG

I've been canning for years, the pot not very durable, due to handles get extremely hot and the lid handle as well. The rack inside very flimsy, be very careful when pulling it up handles bend because so flimsy. I only purchased as backup, so I could process jars in 2 pots at same time. The canner that I have used for years, is stanless , pot handles do not get hot , nor does the lid handles.

My mother used Granite Ware, and so did I for many years. So when it was time to replace my current canning pot I immediately went to Granite Ware. I used it for the first and last time today. I had  just sterilized the jars , and was pouring freshly made jelly into the half-pint jars that were in the jar rack - when the rack collapsed!!  All my beautiful homemade jelly was spilled into the water bath below. I literally sat down and cried. I will never use this pot and rack again.
