I agree with Potsie. It is slightly inferior to the Hagen brand, but was considerably cheaper. I bought this 3 times, each a large order (7-10 bags.) I paid $7.97 (minus subscription discount) the first 2 times, and $8.97 the last time. I don't think I'm willing to cough up $11.98 this time. Hopefully, there are better options. Walmart isn't always the de facto best deal.

I should note, of all the bags I received, I only had one bag that I would say was a failure. Oddly, it was more than 50% white sunflower seeds that my budgies couldn't open.

50% Increase in Price, Still Worth It?

Cheap bird food, not as good as pet stores

While my original impression of this mix was VERY good.. (it is dust free and very well accepted by my birds) .. I just realized there is mineral oil in the mix (to keep the dust down) and I am now wondering if this is the cause for my birds chronic diarrhea! (mineral oil is a pretty powerful laxative!!!) Will not be purchasing this mix for a while until I determine if this could be a factor.

Not so sure..
