I used to purchase my coffee and de-caff coffee elsewhere. NO Name. The bright yellow container. Then it was discontinued, according to one of the managers that I chased down. This prompted me to do a mini survey of coffee prices at all the major retailers near me. Walmart.ca came out the clear winner. The coffee is great. Tastes good. And it's available. I've switched. It also happens to be packaged in Canada, in the exact same container style as offered by the retailer I no longer use. This makes me think it's likely the same supplier. Win, win.

I thought this would be bland and not as strong as I like because it's so much cheaper than what I would normally buy, well the jokes on me. I found this coffee to be bold, rich and there's some undertones although light they're there and they blend so well with the dark roast, the smell and the taste is surprisingly delicious.  It's my new fav for reg coffee, I wish they had a dark roast chocolate, I'd kill for that!
The price is $10 - to - $15 or sometimes even $20 less than the brand I favored before this, they're not the same in flavour this one is way cheaper and I like it better, crazy how that works.

After using another brand of dark roast coffee for years, I recently bought Great Value dark roast to give it try. I am certainly not disappointed! It is full bodied, rich and smooth, a joy for my morning (and afternoon) cup of Java and half the price of my usual, or should I say former, brand. I am a convert and this will now become my coffee brand if choice! Thank you for an outstanding product and the ‘Greatest “ Value!

Greatest Value!

Bought it because it was the least expensive coffee we found between 3 stores we shop at.  Coffee has almost doubled in price here over the last year. For 38 years I've preferred my coffee black but some of my husband's "superior" choices push me to use milk/cream, cinnamon and/or sugar to take the bitter edge or acrid taste away. Surprisingly this Great Value coffee, although dark roast, was smooth and woodsy with no bitter, icky taste. Of the 6 adults (us plus 4 adult kids) and our company over the weekend no one made any rude comments (always happens especially with one guest) and everyone had a second and some a third cup. I'm drinking it strong and black.

Enjoyable and Affordable Coffee

Delicious coffee that is smooth and has that great coffee taste to stimulate your brain and your body. My 96 yo mother looks forward to her cup, as do I, each morning.  It is part of a morning ritual as I slowly get started doing what I need for her and myself.  I've introduced my sister to it and now she orders it as well.  It's great with and without our 18% cream.  Thank you for this coffee and the hands that make it possible!

Great Coffee

I tried Great Value Dark Roast Coffee, and it delivers a strong, full-bodied flavour that's perfect for those who love bold coffee. The aroma is inviting, and it brews consistently well without being bitter.

It's a large 907g pack, which is great for daily coffee drinkers, and the price is very reasonable compared to other dark roasts. If you enjoy a robust cup of coffee to start your day, this one is worth trying.

Bold and Rich Coffee at a Great Value! - The Best!

I've started drinking dark roast coffee more often, and I really like this brand. It has a bold but smooth taste, and it smells heavenly. It's a great price and lasts a good while, even if I have a few cups a day every so often. I'm a very happy customer!

Delicious and budget friendly

Solid coffee for an affordable price. Coffee is ever rising in Canada these days, I have tried this great value coffee at least three times now and when you need a coffee at home this does the job. Nice aroma and decent flavour, it does seem a bit mild though labelled dark roast I find I have to use a bit more grinds than a more expensive coffee but overall it's a good value pick

Good for the money

With the price of coffee going up so much lately I was looking for something more affordable. This one was the best price I could find and the coffee is decent. Not the best but not the worst. About equal with a Maxwell House or Folgers for taste but cheaper.

Great price decent coffee

I recently tried a great value dark roast coffee and found it to be decent overall. The flavour was rich and had a pleasant aroma, but it lacked the depth and smoothness I enjoy in other brands. While it's an affordable option and not a bad cup, I still prefer my usual brands for a more satisfying coffee experience. Rating: 3/5 stars.

Okay, but prefer other brands

This coffee wasn't our favourite brand of coffee.  It wasn't overpowering but it was also a bit underwhelming.  Probably won't purchase again.
