Value For Money

Quality

Can be sturdy, but also prone to defects.

These are excellent quality at such a low price. I buy regularly and cook the entire bag then freeze in smaller portions. I eat these everyday as a Vegan it keeps my protein high and fiber too.

Great quality at a low price

With the rising cost of beef, it has been tough for me to justify buying any. I would occasionally buy 8-packs of burger patties because that would at least last multiple days, but actual pounds of ground beef? It's gotten rough.

In looking for alternatives, I finally started looking at vegan options, such as tofu and lentils. I haven't messed with tofu too much, but lentils have been a huge help for me in the last year.

Originally, it started as something I'd add to my hamburger helper, chilli, or spaghetti. A few months ago, I discovered that adding around 1/4 - 1/2 cup of flour to the lentils makes them stick together, giving them a similar consistency to ground beef.
So I've been making my own lentil burgers too.

The savings have been amazing! The price of burger patties went from a minimum of $12 to $2.97 (Minus the buns, fries, and toppings, of course). And with seasonings like cumin, paprika, garlic powder, oregano, and soy sauce (and if I feel a little daring, a tiny bit of liquid smoke), the taste gets pretty close to the real thing.

It's reached the point where I don't even miss beef anymore. I still occasionally have beef when I go out to eat, or if it's on sale, but when I'm making dinner at home, it's lentils all the way.

Cheap, meaty-tasting live saver.

I use these dried lentals to thicken up soups

Great Value green lentils

Equate is the only brand I buy. Great in a stew, chilli or soup. Makes a great side in a rice cooker. 1 cup lentils to 2 cup water, add 1 tsp oil and cube of chicken stock. Incredible!

But theses lentils !

Good price for the amount you receive, no dirt or sand in the lentils. Good value

Lentils

Green lentils that can be used in other recipes or just enjoyed as is.

Green lentils

The quality has come down. I can find ton more bad one with stones and sticks.

Not the greatest but needs major cleaning.

He put all in the same box what I bought, deliveryman arrives this box too heavy and the bottom was stuck half, it dropped and all my items collect on the ground and in addition it wet during the deliveries. I wasn't happy. The lens bag was pierced and I was able to pick up only half of my bag, the rest on the floor. I would like to have another lens bag to replace mine. PS: Tell those who put item in the box to glue better the bottom because it is very badly done or put the items in smaller boxes. (Also put double paper in the bottom of the litter box.)

Good purchase

Great Value Green Lentils 900 g front-facing package with Great Value logo and clear window revealing small green-brown lentils; pantry staple for soups, stews, salads and quick 20-minute meals, very high source of fiber and excellent source of iron and magnesium, often used as a base for vegetarian lentil loaves or burgers.
