Enjoy your favourite childhood treat without the guilt with our Great Value Light Smooth Peanut Butter. It's made with 25% less fat than our regular smooth peanut butter to offer a lighter everyday snack option. Made with dry roasted peanuts, this light peanut butter has that timeless nutty flavour with a smooth texture that's easy to spread and offers a delectable creamy finish. Smooth it over toast, crackers and fruit or get creative and use this peanut butter as a base for sauces, cookies or even as a filling for pancakes, crepes and other baked goods. The Ingredient Wise symbol appears on products made without these ingredients: synthetic colours, artificial flavours and sweeteners, hydrogenated vegetable oil, monosodium glutamate. Minimal oil separation is natural. Refrigerate after opening.

Value For Money

I switched to Great Value peanut butter after tasting it at my daughter's home. I found it has a more distinct peanut taste and does not seem as sweet although they both have 1g of sugar. I was concerned that the reduced fat would make it too dry but it still seems to be a nice creamy consistency. There is less fat and sodium in the Great Value light PB compared to the Kraft light PB.

Good taste

Better value and as good as the name brand PB's. Once it is out of the container and spread it you forget that it isn't a “Name 0 Brand”

Me and My Budget Love it!

Not sure why people are complaining about the texture - speading peanut butter on any non-toasted bread will cause it to tear. I've been buying this one for years!

Just as Good as Name Brand

Trying to save money so we switched to no name. Now the taste is actually pretty good but u do have to stir it once in awhile as it separates, well at least mine does. It's not as creamy as name brand but my family likes this peanut butter and I'll be sticking with it.

It was good for a few weeks, but after week 3 it started to "dry out" and become a solid mass. I assume its bc its less fat and this is my own fault. But beware.

Becomes a solid mass pretty quickly

It is a great price but barely tastes of peanuts.
I love Great Value products, but not this one.
I prefer Jiff, but it is difficult to find since the Orange One south of the border put tariffs on so many items. Tariffs may very well not be the reason. It may be a supply chain issue but other brands are readilly available.

No Peanut Flavour

i bought this cheap peanut butter and it says new and "improved" recipe but it just takes like sugar.... peanut butter does not taste better with sugar

WAY TOO MUCH SUGAR

I should have checked the label before buying this. There is added sugar-far too much of it. I normally buy the "natural" peanut butter which is just nuts. I assumed, incorrectly that this would be the same but with some of the oil removed. It is awful and with the added sugar I can't even save it to put in suet cakes for the birds.

Too sweet

I love the great value regular peanut butter, but bought this one by mistake. It has some kind of an unpleasant aftertaste. Won't make that mistake again.

Aftertaste

I used to love this peanut butter but when I tried this jar I was very disappointed.

First, the texture is very thick and rough (I couldn't spread it on my toast without tearing the bread). The texture is really off putting to eat.

Second, this tasted awful to me. It tastes almost chalk-y to me and has a very synthetic taste. I really hate wasting food but I can't bring myself to finish the jar.

Please bring the old recipe back!

Great Value Light Smooth Peanut Butter jar, front-facing label showing Great Value branding and 'Light Smooth' designation; smooth, spreadable peanut butter made from dry roasted peanuts with 25% less fat, made in Canada; suitable as a spread or as a base for sauces, cookies and crepe or pancake fillings.
