WOW! Tasty as KD

GV mac & cheese is really good quality and value for the money.

Good value for the money mac & cheese

10 thousand times better than any other brand. I like this one, the white cheddar, and the creamy. Just depends on what I'm craving. Haven't bought another brand in a long time, this satisfies the craving plus it's better quality pasta than KD, much better aldente, less soggy.
Must say it doesn't take as long to cook as the package says. I've cooked it so many times that exactly 3 minutes and 38 seconds is perfect aldente

AMAZING!

I don't know what people expect for just over 1/3 the price of KD. I add a tbsp of cheez spread or a slice of cheese and I have a very edible pot of Mac and cheese.  It is definitely better than the yellow box variant from the other store. If I wanted something that tastes like KD I would buy KD. You get what you pay for.

Good for the price

I thought it was simply a case of that the box for Great Value (Original) Mac & Cheese just got a lame redesign, but no, they made more changes than that! Ingredients are different, cheese is white then changes to orange, and there's hardly any cheddar cheese flavor! I had to add a whole bunch of my own cheddar cheese powder, and even then, it was only kind of "meh." Also important to note the sodium content has gone from 310mg to 480mg!! This isn't the worst macaroni & cheese dinner I've ever had, but knowing what it once was, this was disappointing.
Looks like this new stuff is here to stay, so I'm going to have to find something else.

Bring back the old Original Mac & Cheese, please!

Thanks to the other reviewers for the info.  I hadn't bought groceries at Walmart in months, and when I saw this mac & cheese I remembered how much I loved it.  It was like KD before they changed their recipe.  My recent purchase seemed different somehow, definitely bland.  I thought I was preparing it wrong but now I understand the recipe has been changed.

It's not just me

The pasta tastes sticky, and mushy when following the instructions. The cheese has a bitter after taste.   I would not suggest buying this spend a few more pennies to get the better quality pasta.

My family liked the original kind more than name brand KD, and it was something we could actually get our kid to eat! We saw the new kind, got a box to try it, and its horrible! We all took one bite and grimaced. The next time we were at the store we got all of the original kind they had left. After they're gone, we'll switch back to KD, even though we don't like their new recipe much either, but its better than this.   Please bring back the old recipe!!!!!
