I make iced coffees pretty regularly while I work from home now, and usually keep a straw in my drink for a good part of the afternoon while the drink melts, etc. I was truly surprised that even hours later, the paper hadn't twisted, freyed, etc like typical paper straws. My kids even said the same, so it passed their discerning taste also. Will definitely be purchasing more.

Couldn't tell the difference from plastic

Great straws!

[Employee of walmartcanada] These straws are super cute! Fun colours and prints! Great alternative to plastic straws. Definitely more environmentally friendly. They hold up well in liquids, it does have that paper feel that's different to get used to but all places are moving towards paper these days, so this is great to have for parties at home!

So Useful & Pretty

[Employee of walmartcanada] I am not a fan of paper straws and rather go strawless because most of them disintegrate quickly or have a very papery taste altering the flavour of your drink. However, if you need paper straws for your kids, party, or other reasons - this is a great eco alternative to plastic!

Paper Straws That Actually Last

[Employee of walmartcanada] It is great to see Great Value making this more sustainable alternative to plastic straws!  These straws seem to hold up well and last quite a while without going soggy.   Love the packaging but it would be great to have more variety of colours inside to ensure all the kids in the house can be pleased with the colour choices.

Great Sturdy Paper Straws

[Employee of walmartcanada] In general, I'm not a big fan of paper straws but if I had to choose to use paper straws, the GV Paper Straws would be a good choice.  The fact that they're patterned makes them fun to use.  For the most part, they're quite sturdy and don't unravel like some paper straws are known to do.  If you don't mind using paper straws, these are a great choice.
