I love Peaches !

It's good enough, but the pears are pretty firm in there.

Back in my day, pears were softer and sweeter. Today's engineered fruit just doesn't do it for me; it's pulpy and firm.

Good sweetness and flavour though.

. . . only four stars because the lid is one of those wretched pull-tab things that these old hands have trouble dealing with.  The product itself is pretty good: all halves, no small chunks at all, firm but not too firm, sweet but not too sweet.  And the nutritional info on the label says that roughly two halves provide 60% of one's daily Vitamin C requirement -- about the same as a small orange.  I plan to keep a couple in the pantry throughout this winter.

A pleasant surprise, but . . .

For being canned in symple syrup, the fruit was very hard and lacked flavor
